In 1971 I played in Little League....My Dad was the coach and let everyone else choose what uniform they wanted...I remember him saying we would take whatever was left,,,We got stuck with green and yellow...Oakland...I became a fan and when football rolled around I just stuck with Oakland...Soon the A's went on a tear and won several World Series...A small group of 11 year olds won the championship in HCo wearing Oakland uniforms...A's and Raiders for life!!!!!!!!!! I was praying for Detroit to beat Boston...Why????

1972 coming in as county champions my Dad was forced to choose his team colors first...No more A's...they were retired...This time we got red....St. Louis Cardinals...Though i still was an A's fan I became a Cardinal for life at this time as well...I also pulled for the Cards in football but find no love for the Rams nor Arizona....Detroit beat my A's last week...Looks like I'll have to settle for Boston...I don't like any Boston team very much and hope to heck we can hammer them...

That's a long time to be a fan of any team...Loyal to the end....

I'm listening to a Coyote howl as I type...Yeah....We got Coyotes....Ain't that special...

I finally broke down and cut my grass today...Most of the seed heads had fallen out...Plenty of leaves were in the mix as well...hey...I wore a mask to avoid the killer headache tomorrow...Got stuck down by the creek as well....Now I gotta wash the mower and get that mud off...Ordered up a trans pan gasket and a set of plug wires for the Ranger...I got a trans filter and a gasket already but I'm picky about those gaskets...also awaiting a Flowmaster exhaust system....Torque and horsepower gains as claimed??? Maybe....fuel mileage should creep up a bit as well...A little sound from the exhaust is never a bad thing either....a little....she ain't no v8...Those little Cardinals in '72....Back to back county champions!!!

I rooted for the Sox so that I could see the Cards beat them :)

I saw a commercial about that Flowmaster, Dee. Reminded me that I have no earthly idea when the filter under my hood was replaced...hell, do cars still have those? Also need to get the oil changed and check on the antifreeze. I hate being wimpy and having to take my car to someone else for that kind of stuff, but I don't have the tools needed to do it myself. Even if I had ramps, Katie would have a canary if I spilled a drop of oil on her drive.

Nice Nick! Gee, how does one get their hands on a Grateful Vaper tee?

Haha Jerry! I live in a Sox house, so the rebel in me dictates that I root for the Cards. I grew up about 6 hours south of St.Louis, an hour west of Memphis.

And I'll be danged if you just can find about anything you need on youtube! Last time I changed one of these, it was round  Bet I look pertier than he does when I do it ;)

Beautiful Baldwinsville (CNY)
Hectic times in Beautiful Baldwinsville. Work has been uber busy, and a lot of misc. junk at camp.

Last Monday we got the camp surveyed for the elevation certificate, with any luck we'll get a break on flood insurance, but I'll be watching to see how the quote comes in. Per the elevation certificate we're just above something called BFE, which makes sense since people who've lived there decades say our camp has never had flood waters touch the main structure (and it doesn't look like it -- insulation under the first floor is clean). That said, it does have a skirt around the crawlspace, and even though there are plenty big enough openings we need to make sure they don't mess up on the interpretation of the surveyor writeup.

Pretty much completed the screening task, just finished up painting it yesterday. I'll replace the screens on the portion of the porch that actually touches the deck next Spring.

Putting the skirt back up on the crawlspace, the part that I'd taken off for building the deck. A PITA working with the corrugated metal panels. The portion under the deck itself is just getting a composite lattice, much easier to work with.

Built ramps in the utility shed, so the little lawn tractor is an extra 10" above the floor. If a spring flood occurs, the area behind our camp is at a lower grade, as is most of the rest of the property along the lake -- if water reaches the tractor tires, time for an ark :)

Time for some electrical work, wiring in a motion detect light on the old bunkhouse entrance, and if the weather warms up again I may go for permanent lighting/power on the deck.
