Well when I went to shut down the Windows sceen came up. Installing 2 updates. Please don't unplug your computer. So I waited for it to shut down and rebooted. Didn't help. I unplugged the whole works and then plugged back in and rebooted. Didn't help. Should I do a system restore. This huge stuff is driving me nuts.

Yay Fran! Did you get your updates installed too? I doubt it was anything in them, just that the process got interrupted.

No updates but I'm sure they'll install before I shut down tonight.

I have windows let me know when updates are available, but I choose when and which ones to download and install. I don't want or need their version of keyboard or graphics drivers, etc. Just the security updates.

Sorry Fran I could of got you back to small with a couple of clicks but alas I was busy taking care of a whole list of people. I have to strip my whole pc and reload everything. I hate it. I have things everywhere they're not supposed to be and can't fix it without wiping all my hard drives and starting from scratch.

Bo is right on the update setting. I don't want any of their Bing stuff on my pc and I lothe internet explorer ever since they got rid of Windows Explorer 7. That was the last version I liked.

I don't remember the last Internet Explorer version I used. I've been using Firefox forever.

I'm a Chrome guy. I used Firefox for awhile but I know Chrome and like it. I think they're up to IE 11 0r 12 IDK and I couldn't give a hoot. All their stuff is too confining.

5c I'm back to sort of normal by using resolution and Chrome assits. But it's still not back to what it was. I did another system restore this morning cause everything was back to huge again. All was well for about 5 minutes and it just poofed back to huge. I ran a virus scan and all is good there.

UGH now I have no screen saver cause it says I need a newer video card. What';s going on??

You can try to reinstall your video driver Fran. I don't know what type of graphics card you have, but sounds like something is crashing it Hopefully John can help more than I can.

Oh man, Moon If you need longer to find a decent card, I can send you the GTX 285 that I replaced. If you want a damn good, fast card for a really good price, look at the Nvidia 650ti. The 760 is gonna cost a fortune. But that's just my

My niece works at Nvidia and I've been trying to get swag to no avail, otherwise I coulda helped out Moon
