It's the way my family is, Fran. No one turns away, when one of us needs help. When I say that's how my family is, I mean my Dad's side of the family. My mother's side was the opposite and we don't keep in touch with them.

Thanks, Bov, a person doesn't have to be blood, to be family. My best friend, who I have known since I was 9 and he was 11, is like a brother to me. He lives in California now, but we still keep in touch.

I'm sorry to hear that, Fran. My Dad and his brother are the only ones left from his family. He and his brother are very close, but neither one is in good health. I tell ya true, Fran, I don't want to live to be that old.

My mother died at 59. I had mixed emotions about her death. She was my mother, but she wasn't a nice person. I know that it was wrong, but when I turned 60, I yelled out to her, wherever she is, that I had lived longer than she did.

Sleep well Fran, love that pic!

Jerry I learned at a very young age that family is who treats you right, be it blood or not. My dad died when I was 5 so I have very few memories of him. My mom died in 2002, and that was the last I spoke with any of her family. Not many of them left now, but I was always an outsider to them. Only family I talk to is my brother in Ill, and my step sister in Fl.

Morning everyone!

I'm fairly neutral on the teams too, it's just safer in this part of the country to pretend to be a Pats fan ;) Good luck to everyone!

Moon, my grandma died the same year my mom did...that was a really hard year. I miss them both. There are still times that I want to pick up the phone to call mom, for a split second before it hits me that I can't.
