Hey all!

Just a quickie hello to say that I am feeling under the weather again. I woke up in the night with a scratchy throat and a runny nose. Today wasn't too bad but as night falls it is feeling a bit worse. Blah!

I hope you all stay warm and safe....this brutal cold BITES!!!

Good luck on the pipes Dee, I think most of us are fed up with this bitter cold. Chase seems to be fine. I was afraid he'd be scared to jump down off the bed on his own after his tumble this morning, but he just did and didn't think twice about it.

Mark, my mom and step dad lived in Oswego NY for several years, and my mom (being a southern gal) was amazed at how much snow they always got. She was a lot like me...the first year she was in wonderland, 2nd year was becoming a chore, and by the 3rd year she was way over it

5c, I was hoping you'd get all your stitches out, but it stills sounds like it's improving.

Fran, Tracy, and I are going to a tropical island somewhere...we'll see yall when the spring thaw comes (Feel better Tracy!)

I hate to say it but I was reading that after a day or so reprieve there's supposed to be another cold front right behind it. Why couldn't Al Gore be right with his global warming thing huh?

Tracy that sucks. You'd think after you get older that colds and flu wouldn't bother you any more. Stay warm, plenty of rest and fluids, and oh ya, Chicken Soup.
I haven't had a cold or flu in over 30 yrs. knock on wood.

Yep, there is another round coming our way. Chase has a grooming appt tomorrow, then more snow on Sat. It's been so cold that we haven't been taking Chase on his daily walk around the neighborhood. I'm too worried about his feet in the cold and salt on the roads, and he'll have no part of doggie boots

JD is the same way about doggy attire. He makes up his mind about something and that's it. When he was younger I put him in the kennel we got. It's about 6ft. x 12 ft. but when I got back he actually chewed through the wire mesh and was at the door. I had to reinforce the first 3 feet with heavy stainless steel wire.

The local weather guy said December's average temperature was 46.5* here...The warmest in the last 20 years or so....Coulda' fooled me....

Global Warming is just a catch phrase...Climate Change and 9/10 scientists agree....the 10th was paid off... Likely by the same cats that said the water in West Virginia is now safe....I'd love to see them have a glass....

Polar Vortex....Hurricane.....Tornado....110* in the shade....Climate Change has evolved into Climate Changed....The worst part is it's likely to late to fix it....

What burns my britches most....China's carbon foot print...The smog there is so thick in places the sun isn't visible and they could care less...

Corporate profits at least are at record highs....

Warm weather is on the way, Fran -- 8 here

Bug last week was a double hitter for me, felt really fine the one day in the middle. I'm back fine again, multiple days, surprised to get two bugs in a month. I tend to be pretty healthy.

Warm is not to be seen in our forecast. Low 20's for Saturday and Monday they say and the rest is all deep freeze.

Same here Fran. Sunday up to almost 40 but back into the single digits Sunday night. Poor Chase is gonna have to sleep under the covers after his grooming tomorrow.

I went out to the local B&M today...I was gonna pick up an ohm checker but it wouldn't read sub ohms...Cut by my Cousin's garage to check his progress and dang if it didn't work...He's already had heart issues and such...He's off to a great start and I hope he sticks with it...Already showing improvement so maybe just maybe....

His Son spins wrenches by day and bounces at night...He dips Copenhagen...IDK about where ya'll live but lots of folks here dip...I did once myself as an aid to quit....Skoal Mint here...He's going to the B&M tomorrow for an Innokin VV V3...So maybe 2 birds 1 stone....Dipping isn't much safer than smoking....

It's down to 18* now...This is not normal and I do expect damaged pipes....Nothing I can do but fix it so no need in worrying about it...

Sometimes things happen here and my family leaves me out of the loop....purposely...Case in point...Last week my Niece was the recipient of unwanted advances that included some pics...At this point no family members are aware that I know...They have handled things quiet to my satisfaction....well they didn't drag him down the road tied to the truck but I'll have to be satisfied....bail and such...jail food...Still I ain't one dang little bit happy about that...I did the right thing and kept my damn mouth shut...Trust though that boy had best heed the warnings he has received....Just throwing that out as there's no place else I can...Life sure can test a fella....

Dee, it's really hard to not break legs and other body parts on a guy who does those things...might be just as well that you found out late.

Chase is breaking in a new groomer today and personality wise I think she may be a keeper. I was explaining to her that because he's such a low rider, she needs to pay special attention to cutting his hair real short on his back end. She laughed and said she'd give him a "doggie Brazilian" I totally cracked up I hope the other dogs don't make fun of him!
