Our schools are closed, and the Gov called a state of emerg. AGAIN! I believe we have about 6 or so inches of snow on the ground and it's still coming down. Bov, I can dig (pun intended) your video above.

Tomorrow night they are watching an ice storm into wed morning, then another whopper possibly over the weekend.

I. Am. Moving. South. or. West. UGH!!!!!

Tracy I saw on the internet NJ has 3 storms on the way. If they're posting it on the web it doesn't sound good. Please be prepared and safe. Make sure you have blankets water etc. in your car if you go anywhere.

100lb. propane cylinder filled last week $60.00...Filled another a few minutes ago...same size....same filling location....$80.00 Record cold temps = record propane sales = faked shortage = price gouging....Merica

Isn't it awful ElDee? The price of kerosene is obscene as well.....$4.75 - $4.95 per gallon. For real?

We have natural gas here at the house, but I have heard plenty of folks complaining about the same thing Dee and Tracy. All around town you see signs up at the places you can get the pre filled propane tanks saying that they don't have any. Our neighbor across the street heats with oil, it cost her over $800 to have her tank filled last week :(

We keep our 'stat set at 66 downstairs and 62 upstairs, double pane windows, and I've done calk and weather stripping on all the doors and windows. You'd think that keeping the temps set that low would be a frugal choice...our gas bill last month was almost $300! Crazy

Finally stopped snowing for now, don't know if we'll make Katie's dentist tomorrow or not. We'll see what it looks like in the morn.

Stay safe everyone...this week is gonna be a beech!

Anything to do with oil is expensive. I think I'd invest in a heat pump. It is dang cold here all of a sudden too. This is our usual snow time of yr. But if it gets too cold it won't snow.
I was looking at this heating system that pumps water way down into the geothermal layer then circulates back up through the heater. Costs a lot but heat would be almost free.
