Morning Fran !!

5 I respect people that raise pups as you do...Most however come from mills....My Sis's Riley came from a mill near Wilmington. That area just off the coast often lies at, near or below sea level and is humid as all get out in summer...The trailer had no heat nor a/c and was wall too wall, floor to ceiling stacked with cages...Top that off with the mill owner adding sawdust to the dog food...It swells in their stomach so they eat less...It also sticks too their teeth causing rapid tooth decay...Riley had over 1/2 of his teeth pulled and is just over two years old...I'd be more than happy to drive to Wilmington and meet those mill owners..

8 confirmed tornadoes Friday....We are on record for the strongest with an EF3??? and the first tornado death this year with an 11 month old being killed....8 is more than we've had in the last 20 years combined...Best news???? That storm arrives here today....An elevated risk of severe weather has been issued for my area...tornadoes likely...You can't turn on the news without reports of wild weather anymore...Meanwhile they are still burning coal....Profit over Planet...

Tracy Sorry for the weather and I believe your right about all the c/o2 we put into the atmosphere that's killing the ozone layer. The earth does go through cool down periods and warmer. Just look at the Ice age for proof.

I saw that a few days ago Bo. Theres supposed to be bad weather for them for sure.

I know that as of last night Ark got hit pretty hard. Tx, Ok, Ks, Mo, Ill, N and S Carolina all getting hammered. We have a lot of folks to worry about.

Yard mowed, weed eating done, goofy little plastic garden fence border in place...I think I can call it a successful morning. Katie is happy (for the moment)

I believe the biggest issue with the enviroment is Carbon -12.....Only produced by burning coal....Meanwhile the government is all over the auto industry requiring improved fuel economy and lower emissions...How about the energy companies and others using coal for fuel?? Light gasoline on fire and observe the smoke...Then light oil or coal....No smoke verses very black smoke...Still I think it's good the cars are more efficient.....

Way back in say '73 you could get a Toyota Corolla that would get mid thirties per gallon...You could also fix it with a screwdriver and pliers....Hardly any emissions either...Now 40 years later it takes a computer and a host of emissions devices to approach that 73 Corolla....Priceless

Looking at building a 4ft X 30ft raised worm bed....Should that go well adding additional beds will be no problemohhh....I got sheet to do other than build beds at the present though...I'm on an afternoon break atm!!!!

Evening all :)

Dee, how deep are you gonna make those beds? Just curious. And agreed about the coal and the cars. Exactly what did we save by doing away with regular, leaded gas? A new subject for me to research :)

ETA: Well that was easy research, but I didn't know that "leaded" gas was gas that had the "lead" added to it (tetraethyl lead). Now replaced with ethanol, since the health hazards of lead were better known.

Bov the beds I've been looking at are 24" inches deep...3 8X16 cinder blocks high...Line the bottom with hardware cloth to keep out moles and bury the first block so the worms can escape freezing temps...Also gotta be covered to keep animals out and the worms in the dark...Best worm food?? Alfalfa fed rabbit sheet...It's gonna be a process but I see an opening to make a little spare change...Most cats with worms tend to be elderly and the kids dang sure ain't gonna provide competition....

So far golf ball sized hail and one tornado have been reported....Either just north or south...Pretty dang skippy right here...The storm that produced the tornado looks to be on a collision course with my beach crib...No one is there so it is what it is....The real sheety storms are scheduled for tomorrow...I can't wait..............
