I hope things are going well Bov and moving forward in a positive direction! And I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you keep that channel and get to watch SOA!

Fran, the pictures are beautiful! Nothing like a wedding.

Hi mod, Hi Tracy!

Just popping in to say hello. Trying my hardest to not be a stranger here!

Moo how are you doing sweetie????????

I'm waiting!!! The waiting is driving me crazy! The genetic test came back negative today. Had it been positive the mastectomy was highly recommended. If it was negative it was supposed to be my choice between the double mastectomy and lumpectomy with radiation. When I first visited with the surgeon, she had said if we were doing a lumpectomy she wanted to do an MRI. So we all decided to wait on the results of the test rather then pay for an MRI I might not need. Today when she told me the results she told me she wanted me to do an MRI not only for the lumpectomy but because apparently I have dense breast tissue and a bunch of it, so she wants to make sure there is nothing hiding that the mammogram missed. If there is something hiding she will again suggest the double mastectomy. So the test results are back and I am back to waiting again! However now not only am I waiting to see which surgery will be the best, I am apparently waiting for my period because the MRI won't work right unless I am one week past my period!

So basically I have no other information then when I walked out of her office three weeks ago, and my period stopped being regular about 4 or 5 months ago so god knows how long I will be waiting!

I hate waiting!

Sorry for the rant, waiting is just frustrating me!

Waiting is horrible! The genetic test was good news tho! I have the dense tissue too and every time I have my mammogram, I get called back for an ultrasound. I've had 2 biopsies in the past but fortunately they were both just fibrous tissue. Calming thoughts coming your way Moo :)

Fran, it was just a Monday morning...nothing to fret about. I have had the last 2 months with the majority of my check going out for car and vet bills and thought I was over that hurdle until I heard that metal on metal sound of brake pads completely worn :( I thought those suckers were supposed to give you that squealing warning sound before they chit the bed! Now I'm looking at God knows how much for brakes and turning and all that goes with letting it get beyond just brake pads. Life is such a kick in the nads sometimes LOL!

Thanks Fran! But I like to keep a rants to a minimum. They just get me all worked up and I am doing my best to stay in a zen kind of place!

Man Bov, sorry to hear that. I do have to say however if our biggest worries in life (meaning you and me specifically) were only financial worries how refreshing would that be. I am at a place right now where I have decided that it is only money and I can find happiness without it! I decided this just a few days ago after I had to spend a ton of money on back to school supplies and clothes for the kids and got home to find a 2nd notice hospital bill from Chris having his tonsils removed a few months ago and finally a phone message that the insurance did not cover most of the $3,000 genetic test. Don't stress the little green pieces of paper too much, life is to short for that!
