Saturday I went to UC Santa Cruz to see the newly opened Grateful Dead Archive. When I got there the archivist was there giving a tour to a friend from back east. I was asked to join them and ended up spending and hour and a half with them. I had a awesome time trading history. He asked me to set an appointment with him to tape a story for the archives that he had never heard of before.... pretty cool stuff

Hoping all goes well for those in the impact region. Where we are it looks like a classic large rain storm, couple inches over a couple days, windy, gusting to 60 - 70.

We're just starting to see the gusty winds here in central CT, but not the highest of them until later today and into tonight. Same for us Mark...expected gusts 60-80mph, sustained winds around 30, 2-4inches of rain.

Hang on down there Tracy, praying for everyone in the path of this storm!

Thank you Sash! We lost power for a couple of ours early this afternoon...I couldn't believe they sent bucket trucks out in the storm to fix it! It's flickered off and on a few times since. They are saying our worst will start to wane around 7 or 8pm tonight. I expect Tracy is without power

I'm here!!! Whew, this storm is a doozy! Lots of rain and crazy winds earlier. Then it seemed as though once it hit land it slowed way down on the rain. Right now the wind is wicked, but occasionally blows where it was definitely more frequent earlier.

I'll take it!!! They showed the back side as being a dry pocket....maybe that's where we're at right now.

I cannot wait till this suckers over!!! I cringe with each gust of wind. (Bo laughs at me)

Was able to get our hands on a generator, so that helps. It's a small one but at least our fridge will keep going, and I can recharge my batts when I need to. (Yay!!! YOu have no idea the panic I was feeling over not being able to vape!! Oh wait, you probably do!) lol
