Hey Pad, This crowd seems to be a bunch of late nighters lol You will see Wharf, mod, Bov, 5C, TT, Kg, Ok, Fran, Toto, and so many others here if you can stay awake Sooooo very good to see you here. I know that you were thinking of TT when you got that flat tire in Yeast Texas. Heck, he would have changed it for you for a mere $3!

I knew I should have called him to fix that flat! $3 would have been awesome!
but changing the tire was no problem, needing to buy a new one was the expensive part. They said she drove too long on the flat. She never even knew it was flat until we called her and told her to pull over! I guess we didn't see it was flat soon enough.

Yeah, there are a lot of nice smells here in Yeast Texas. I'm fortune enough to have this beautiful shack here next door to the local Sewage Treatment Plant. The Sheriff can drive down the dirt road in front of our place and he doesn't have a clue what I'm up to because the Sewage Treatment Plant covers up all the smells.

That Sheriff gets suspicious about this vaping business and I sure don't want him smelling my Mocha Cappuccino and stopping to check things out.

Sure hope you had an enjoyable trip through East Texas and its good to see you again old buddy!

TT - What's a Deer Stand, and a Deer Lease? I am hoping it's a place you can hang out & pet a deer, and lease one to take home & snuggle - but it's probably something else entirely...

Well TeTa, you know I'm originally from southwest New Mexico and live in East Texas because that's where my wife told me I was going to be living. And things are a lot different out there in New Meixco.

Here in Texas the men have this thing like a little cabin that they climb up into and sit in there and wait to shoot a deer. I don't know for sure, but I think they must be afraid of the deer so they climb up in that deer stand. Some of the deer stands are even placed up in trees!

Out in New Mexico the only thing we have in the trees are squirrels and a few Texans. The deer are all on the ground. I never saw a deer in a tree in New Mexico.

And here, men pay someone to hunt on their land and they call it a deer lease. I thought the same as you about leasing the deer, shooting it and then taking it back. I had to struggle with that deer lease idea.

Out in New Mexico we never paid anybody to hunt anywhere.

And the deer here are so tiny I don't know why they would want to shoot them anyhow. You'd get enough meat for maybe two cheeseburgers and it would be a lot easier to just go to Whatsthatburger. Sure would be a lot better than sitting in a tree all day!

I like to just sit and watch my dogs playing with the deer, so I don't shoot anything. The dogs and the deer are funny to watch. The dogs will chase the deer and then here come the dogs with the deer chasing them! Then the situation gets reversed again and its hilarious to watch them! Both the dogs and the deer have a good time.

Thanks for Splaining the deer lease to me dear TT! I've never tasted deer myself, but I hear it's pretty tasty.
I love eating meat, but I don't like to think about hunting it. I would probably starve to death if I had to kill something to eat it.
I was a stoopid little kid, and it took me years to figure out that the rabbits, chickens & cows at grama's farm were the same ones that ended up in our freezer!
I wonder how raccoons taste...because there are lots of them around here...

Hey. maybe we could open a roadside stand and sell possum on a stick! I lost everything in a deal with kgj selling his lizards fried on a rock and then the Pepe Le Pew Perfume thing finished me off completely and got me beat up at the Truck Stop.

Texans will eat anything that is deep fried and if you put it on a stick they'll buy everything you have! Heck, even Whatsthatburger wasn't doing very good until they coated their cheeseburger in batter and deep fried them and put them on a stick. Now they are leading in the stock market!

We could be rich Sdh!! Rich I say!!!

Thank you Salem. I think that diet you pointed out is essentially the same thing, just presented a little differently. I've ordered a couple of books, including one on glycemic loading specifically for diabetics. What I've read so far just seems to make sense. Also, I'm pretty sure that Nutra-Systems is based on the same type of diet.

Thank you Sdh. I looked at the link you posted. No offense meant, but going back to a diet my ancestors had when life expectancy was about 14 years just doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in me.
