Anything is better than that bale of hay I have to sleep on our in the barn with my beer drinking armadillo, headless, chicken and singing dog ... not to mention the whiskey drinking wombat I got as a pet.

Only have to sleep out there when my wife is mad at me.

And I don't want you to get the impression she's mad at me all of the time ...

just most of the time.

Talalay Latex is what my mattress is, but as with a lot of things in my life, I went DIY instead of going to the furniture store. I have a couple of bad disks in my lower back and was having sciatica issues when I bought the parts for my queen size mattress. I have a 6" base of firm The Foam Factory, Mattresses, Conventional Foam

Then a 4" layer The Foam Factory, Mattresses, Latex Toppers and a 2" layer of memory foam. It has worked out great for me. I see the prices have gone up since I bought mine about 4 years ago.

Whatever you decide Fran, I sure hope your hubby can find some relief!

That's a cheap way to go. Much cheaper than the memory foam mattresses I've been looking at.

5c I would love to have one of those inversion things! I always feel like my back needs to be stretched out. I live on prescription strength ibuprofen because I refuse to take anything stronger.

    Getting old ain't for sissies!

Hubby keeps telling me to hang him upside down with his chain falls in the garage. LOL

Fran I figured it would be too sweet for you, but it's ok...I know it won't go to waste!

I also make my own pillows because I hate those store bought one. I've done a lot of business with that foam factory over the years. Chopped foam for pillows, cut high density foam for couch cushions, that sort of stuff. The 2" memory foam topper is perfect for me, it's not too think to sway my back, just enough to mold and hold me ;)

Anybody know anything about bedding? Looking for the best thing for a bad back/hip.

YESSSSSS!!!!!!!! I went through so much trying to find a good bed for my back and finally found it. Tempurpedic is the only way to go. They are pricey but so very worth it. I promise you that. We have had ours for about 3 years and we both think that it is one of the best investments we ever made :)

Hubby won't take methadone. It's synthetic ....... Morphine pills don't agree with him. He has oxycodone but he hates to take it. The pain has to be bad. Some friends have come up with flexeril. It helps some.

Methadone has been around for many years. It was used in the fields during WWII to amputate extremities/treat severe pain. Synthetic yes but, opiates will not harm your organs like other choices out there. There are many sythetic drugs that really work.

Fran I hope your husband gets to feeling better really soon !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm getting ready to order some mixing stuff....I gots questions.....Nicotine....RTS or Wizard..Anything I should know?? I wanna pick up some glassware from RTS and they have some flavors as well....I've only trolled Wizard once but will check in there before ordering...

Now a while back I picked up 8oz of Strawberry from a local shop...Hey $5...It's OK but I will hit Capellas for some Sweet Strawberry to compare...I've used Capellas before and feel my cheepie straw flavor may be lacking...Still with a jug of that sheet I've not ordered any more...A man's gotta have the Strawberry Cheesecake....

The Oba Oba flavors remain a mystery....Black n Milk I did find....Ecigxpress if I remember correctly...Hey I got the hashes....so let's not rely on my memory....and it's selective as well...Lilac is getting into DIY as well...If you have a favorite...Let's hear it !!!!!!!!!!! I work from flavor percentage...While securing the Black n Milk is there any other flavor ya'll been using from that source??? Myself I yearn for the old Waffle days...My old buddy WaffleStomper put his pv down...pretty sure diacytol was the secret ingredient for the waffle...I've tried numerous concoctions and none have compared...I also wanna give a Red Bull flavor a go...Kinda weaker version of Atomic Cinnicide...I got the AC but it's a bit much for me now...

Now I'm off too put my dang feet in front of the fire.....

I have not tried Wizards but have heard that it has the strong taste like most other chinese nic out there. I have been using strictly RTS for nicotine/PG and VG for a long time. It is the cleanest, best tasting nicotine that will not interfere with the taste of your flavors that I have found to date. RTS is also quickly becoming my number 1 source for flavoring as they are expanding their line. They sell flavors in glass bottles so no need to transfer to glass for storage with them.

Oba Oba is one of my daily vapes. It is meant to be light and fruity. Kind of like those chewy white candies sold by Brachs with the little bits of fruit in them. Very good IMO

Try the Cinnamon Pear to replace the too strong A/C :)

    Good luck, buddy!

Oops, if you do try RTS, use code firstorder for 20% off your nic/PG and VG.

Sorry about the doc not being much help to hubs Fran. :( I sure hope it gets sorted out soon. Pain of any kind is no good.

I'm watching you all with this DIY stuff, been wanting to try it out myself more than a time or two. I currently buy 36mg VG nic juice and dilute with VG half or better (reducing it to 18 or often times less), then add banana cream flavoring....extremely simple, but alas, it's getting old!!!!!

You are well on your way to DIYing :)

I used to but over time they became foggy. Mine still looks like the day I printed it and it's thinner so my wallet isn't so crammed. Have to make room for all the cards the government keeps sending me since they put me on medicare.

These are thick and sturdy. Not the little flimsy ones. hard plastic. No fog :)

The problem with memory foam is it gets hot and in the summer that sucks. I have around 2 in. of cotton padding on mine to keep the heat down.

Guess what I'm doing. Right I'm going round and round with 2 Epson printers today.

You should get a real Tempurpedic lol That lower quality stuff is rough. I have a collapsed disc among a myriad of other troubles and tried everything out there before finally getting a Tempurpedic. It is the last bed that we will ever buy. Thankfully.

I love my bed!!! It is probably 9 or 10 years old now and still in perfect shape. It's a king size (yeah baby!!!) Simmons Beauty Rest Pillow Top.

Before this I had a water bed for many years. Loved that too, but the ex-hubs wanted non water.

You better hang on to that one. They do not make them that well anymore :( We had a simmons beauty rest for about twenty years that was awesome. We found out the hard way when we bought another that they are crap beds now. Simmons and Serta are about the worst you could buy. Trust me, I have done much research in the quest of a good nights sleep. They screwed beds up with the newer no flip versions. Cheaper to make and the reduced quality shows.
