Stay safe.
I just dug out from our snowfall. I was surprised that dh was able to drive the car thru 2 feet off snow at the driveway apron. The village workers aim on taking all the snow and plowing it towards the driveway.
Off to work in a few. Have a safe day!

Have a good day Sdh and please, be careful and take it easy at work .. if you nurses ever take it easy. I have doubts. I think all you guys do is work.

LOL TT I play on the computer too much. However, the roads look good today. Zoom Zoom in the prius..Oh, wait...I don't own a prius.

I am trying to build my tolerance for work. I am thinking two days a week and it will be enough hours for me. No need to save money anymore because the interest rate is a joke.

Afternoon all! We have a couple of inches so far, but predicted later this eve to be falling at a rate of 3" per hour  They have put our area into the "up to 2ft" category.

Be safe, stay warm, and relax with Tracy's rice pudding...I'm sure she's making enough for everyone ;)

Hasn't covered the ground here yet. Weather says 2+ feet for us too.

I watched the neighbor aka the Mad hatter try to get into his driveway. I had to chuckle. How in the heck does one get thru 2 feet of snow on a incline. It's beyond reasoning. I had my daily LOL.
They don't believe in shoveling snow.
    Got to go.

People can be quite amusing at times.

The 1/2 of the storm coming out of the South passed thru there last night...The wind and rain were fierce...Wherever these two collide there will be snow fall of epic proportions..I wouldn't wanna be there that's for sure...We're soggy and still very cloudy atm...lost power but hey I was asleep and don't know for how long...There are a lot of limbs down but no trees as far as I can see...I hope everyone in the storm's path the best outcome...it's gonna get rough....

    Soap box please.......

The bottom line....I love Mother Earth...My issues....North Carolina is my home...always has been and always will be..NC has been controlled by Democrats for over 100 years...We had plenty of everything we needed...About 20 years back everything went too hell in a hand basket up North and we began to see Northern immigration aplenty...Those States were mostly controlled by another political party...I won't name names...Being it's the age of information I was able to read many comments on the local news website...One thing that really stuck in my craw was that the "Good old boy" way of running things wasn't working any more....The good old southern boys were doing just fine...ever heard of a Dixiecrat??????? Work and personal responsibility...Though claimed by another party was our way of getting things done...The shift was on...When the housing boom began things were fine...Then the immigration flood came in from Mexico..Cheap construction labor forced many a fine carpenter outta work...Roads became crowded as well as schools...The shift continued and now for the first time in over 100 years we are a Republican State....The good old boys are hanging their heads in shame....Our new gooberner has put "fracking" on a fast track...Fracking was exempted from the clean air and water acts by the Bush administration....Why......It was developed by .... Cheney's Enron Corporation...Their gonna be fracking soon and I ain't HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Destroying the planet for GREED pure and simple...The scientific community has for years warned us about global warming....Down here we got hurricanes and tornadic activity out the ying yang...Believe as you will but from where I stand something has definitely changed...Corporations want the ability to pollute and destroy our planet for profit...I for one won't stand for that...Us good old boys are surrounded...We remain a dangerous and motley crew...Wish us luck as the planet we are so desperately trying to save is yours too.....Mother Earth !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with ya ElDee!!! Something sure has changed, and not for the better IMHO. Wicked storms popping up all over the country, and in places they never did before.

Cheap labor....yup, I concur there too my friend. Pizzes me off!

Still coming down out there...snow/rain/sleet. Roads are still ok though, thank goodness!

I had better go get started on that rice pudding!!! You bet there will be enough for us all. ;)

It's been changing since the beginning of time and will continue to change until the end of time.

Yep, but it's tradition, Salem. You just don't mess with that. It's like we all think, If I just have enough bread and milk, everything will be okay.

LOL, well I never really thought about it like that, Lilac. I would not want to mess with tradition so I promise to continue stocking bread and milk before a storm :)
