Thanks for the link SDH...I'm good with the Stevia...Just started my Springtime diet...Began @ 227~223 last night. When sweets once again become part of my diet I wanna get unrefined sugar or maybe honey for sweetner in the coffee and such...Honey seems like a health gold mine...After quitting aspartame I've had no balance issues...I do buy a diet coke when the urge strikes but that's not very often. I use reverse osmosis filtered water for drinking and coffee. @ 5 gallons a week disappears...I keep thinking I'll infuse some water but so far have not done so..It's raining and someone said it sleeted earlier...I thought that rain sounded loud on the roof...Hey I just rolled over and kept snoring. Off too Whole Foods in a minute for salad stuff...

Take care everyone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No problem LD. I limit my soda intake as well. Your right about whole foods...It is best to use real food as much as possible. I don't care for nutrasweet aka aspartame. However, it is hard to find Diet coke with splenda. The do make it. Pepsi makes a Pepsi one with Splenda. I feel for myself Splenda is a tad safer than nutrasweet. However, I am guilty of my love for diet Mountain Dew.

I can't stand the taste of diet anything. Rarely I will drink a soda, but when I do, it's not diet. I use sugar in my coffee, honey in my hot tea.

Sdh, I missed out on the free Skinny Cow chocolates, but the grocery store had them on sale so I bought a box. I haven't tried the caramel clusters yet, but I tried the little chocolates with the caramel filling and they are good :)

I figure since I eat a bowl of fruit mixed with fat free cottage cheese every day, it counteracts the sugar and chocolates

Going back to the 510 cap and using the adapter is fine for the draw, if anything now a little too airy. I'll give my 801 cap a good thread scrubbing with an old toothbrush. It could have some buildup on it. As for the gunking coil, I dunno. I am using the same PG, VG, flavorings, and nic. Could be the restricted airflow is not letting it burn off properly?

The weird thing is that once you get used to diet soda, you can't stand the taste of regular. Thats what happened to me anyway. Regular Mountain Dew tastes like syrup compared to my beloved DMD.

If you ate that cottage cheese (protein) close to the time you ate your ice cream, you are right. The protein does counteract the effects of the sugar :)

Hey LD, MWA has a thread going in the health section about his two year journey through health issues that ended up being all from aspartame. He also loved Diet Coke but said that he did find that they make it with Splenda and he is able to drink that.

Local honey (not store bought) has many, many health benefits. Our family has used it for years.

I also have an addiction to DMD.

That's one of the good things about adapters. You can adjust the draw. I remember before tanks I used to cut a small section of carto condom of and slide it over one of the vents on some airy carto I was using. Can't remember which carto it was.

Remember the little color rings to put on your carto so you could identify it's flavor? I still have a bunch of those and I roll one onto the adapter to cover the vent holes.

The cleaning seems to have helped the draw a bit. I took the 801 completely apart and let it soak in 91% iso alcohol while I ate lunch, then took an old toothbrush and cleaned the threads on the cap and the screws. There was a little bit of juice dried up under the top screw, but not much. I really need some baby magnetic screw drivers, I was 'bout ready to start cussing trying to handle those teeney screws  I did put the 801 cap back on Mr. Root Beer.

I thought you gave up on your get rich schemes. :)

LOL, well .... I don't know Sdh.

But I'm sure hoping my Lemonade and Psychiatric Consulting Stand out there along the paved road will make me some money this year. I might not get rich but I'd like to get some money for some new cartos. I'm so tired of getting those used ones out behind 5Cards house in the alley by the trash can.

I mean, the cartos are fine but I don't always like that juice he uses ...

Hey TT, maybe that's why we're having draw issues lately ;)

Complete change of subject (nothing new for me!) Does anyone else use the saying "going to town" in general, meaning I'm going to the grocery or wally world, or any other errands I need to run? MIL makes fun of me for saying it, but she's always lived "in town." Maybe it's a southern thing, but I grew up hearing it and saying it. The farm we lived on was 7 miles of gravel road before you got to blacktop, and then another 7 miles to get to our little town.

Just a minor annoyance, one of those things that sounds like it's all in fun, but is really a dig in disguise at my southern upbringing. Another of her favorites is making fun of my curly hair....I don't have to mention where that one goes. Random pet peeves...I'm done now :)

I always say "I'm going to the store. Doesn't matter where I'm going I just say store.

You must of heard me cussing today thying to get this mod going. My hands are to darn big for all those tiny screws, wires, and electronics. I spent 8 solid hours on it and my liver hurts from being hunched over it forcing it up into my ribcage. Isn't the golen yrs. golden? I think not. I think they call it "The Golden Yrs." because of all the money it costs for drs. and medications. Back in the day it was gold they used for money.

I had these three guys driving next to me (kids) and I looked over and they were hanging out the windows holding their thumbs up. I rolled the window down and said what's up? They say "You are awesome". I thought what the hey are they talking about. I ask them why and they said "your vaporizer". To get that excited over it I think they probably thought I had whacky in it. Anyway maybe you been going in their alley by mistake TT.

LD, Splenda is NOT aspartame. I don't like Stevia at all.

Splenda /ˈsplɛndə/ is the commercial name and registered trade mark of a sucralose-based artificial sweetener derived from sugar,

Lilac, I think it is two cups water, 1 cup splenda and 1 pk sugar free jello. You boil the water, add fruit ( I like blackberry best) I use potato masher to mash the fruit up when it comes to a boil. Then add the Splenda (or whatever sweetner you choose) and jello. bring back to boil, remove from burner. Let cool just a little and then pour into jars to chill.

I will double check that recipe to be sure in the morning. Also, frozen fruit works just as well.

Thank you, Salem. We've been having issues with our web connection. Finally got here to read and post.

Here is the recipe. I was way off last night :D

2 cups berries (fresh or frozen/thawed)
1 cup cold water
1 pk 3oz Strawberry Jello Sugar Free/Unsweetened
Add sweetener of your choice if using unsweetened

Crush berries. Add water and gelatin. Mix well.
Bring to boil over medium heat stirring constantly. Reduce heat, simmer 2 minutes. Remove from heat, let cool for about 10 minutes. Pour into jars and place in fridge until set.

Easy, peasy and very good stuff.

Thanks...sounds good. :)

Good morning gang!!!

lilac, you are looking all pretty and sparklie this morning! Very nice!

Hey biz, that's a nice looking mod holder you've made, be sure to show us the finished product!

74 and sunny here today! Should be a nice day to go outside and play around and do some little things and sit and look things over. Of course, I have to pet the dogs and important things like that.

I sure hope the workaholics are having as much fun as I'm going to have. I love my workaholics and they way they pay to keep me out of the workforce. It sure is nice of them to do that!

TT
