First chunk of the wall replacement is done, always slow getting off the mark on a new project. Had to pick up a few odds-and-ends, of course the local stores aren't open early on Sunday.
I set up the first new section of studs and window framing, prefabbed it as one piece that went in after I cut out the old crud. I was good about marking the sizes on all pieces, except one, so of course that one piece I hosed

Ended up cutting 1" off the top of one stud, added a 1" shim at the bottom (yay, deck planks -- 1" thick). Then it went in cleanly, the new window fits perfectly. Got that in, added the sheathing, I'll saber saw the window cutout (easier to do from inside).
Designed a 4' gap in the middle, so I get to put in one set of sheathing and siding with zero cuts, then the last section is a replica of what I did yesterday (without the cut-and-shim

)
So, wall will get finished over the next couple days, after work, then Memorial Day weekend I get to start the deck project. No rest for the wicked...
