DD is at Mumford and sons tonight then driving home from LA....... Trade prayers Tracy ? :)

Oh you bet Wharf!!! I'm a little late in seeing this, but said one anyways. :)

Thank you everyone! She has been tweeting her whereabouts through the night so she wouldn't wake me up with texts but at the same time let me know upon awaking.

ElDee, That BBQ sure sounds GOOD!!! I love cole slaw. Is that the same down south? We make ours with cabbage and carrots shredded, and pour a mix of vinegar, mayonnaise, and sugar over it. YUM!!!!

Fried chicken, nanner puddin', gravy and biscuits??? I'm comin over for dinner Lilac!!!! :)

There will be coffee, too, of course. ;) (True southern banana pudding MUST be made from scratch...no instant pudding.)

Hub is diabetic and loves banana pudding. I make it low fat, sweetened with Splenda for him.

That fuud all sounds wondrful. I love eating drfferent cuisines and southern is one of the best. Being from just south of Seattle, coffee is something we do well up here. Seattle ranks as the most caffeinated city.

5c, we have an ice cream parlor in our little town that serves what they call Seattle's Best coffee. I've never had coffee in Seattle, so I don't know if it's the real thing or not.

Well I like coffe from all over the world. If you read up on coffee and brewing it's amazing how much thought has gone into a good cup of coffee.

DD made it home at 5:30 this morning... Oh to be young :)

Thjat's great that you and Tracy's family are safe. It would be good to be young again and know what I know now.

Great that the girls are safe....

Seattle is the coffee capital...Home to Starbucks I think!! I'll have the vinte`, triple, breve`, one stevia latte`...Pleeze!!!!!!!! That will get your motor running for sure!!!!!!!

Tracy the slaw round here doesn't have carrots...though I've seen carrots employed....I've personally never made slaw....They use cabbage, mayo, salt, pepper and juice from a jar of sweet pickles...I saw a girl drown her slaw with Texas Pete once...Now I drown mine...If you like slaw give it a try...It's great with Texas Pete....

One must not forget Grits...They are great many ways...Especially with Red Eye Gravy{ Coffee mixed with the grease from cooking country ham}...Shrimp and Grits is a favorite as well...I use Paula Dean's recipe...That lady can cook...

I couldn't cook a box of dehydrated water if my life depended on it ....

but eating is a different story. That's one of the things I do best.

And oh dear heavens, I dearly love those grits!

And BBQ'd anything.

And banana pudding.

And fried chicken plus fried everthing.

And cole slaw.

And red heads ... oh wait ... that's a different subject.

I'll share my best family cole slaw recipe here so you can try some Northern kind. ;) (for those who want to of course)

1 small head of cabbage shredded
a few carrots shredded
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of Apple cider vinegar

Mix together the mayo, vinegar, and sugar until sugar is dissolved then pour over shredded mix. (sometimes, depending on size of cabbage used you may need to add some more of the liquid)

Salt and pepper to taste

Thanks, it's cute as can be! Sash, it'll take some getting used to...her ears are a little high LOL! I'm used to the drip tip shapes in the pic below, in both ceramic and acrylic tips.

Tracy, all of those are my Pinky, just different light and backgrounds make the colors look different. The one on the far right is the truest to the actual color of Pinky.
