Oh the thing about Ebay?

I wouldn't think of going to Ebay for vaping stuff, I'd rather go to a proper vaping shop be it online or offline.

Still there goes Ebay being told what to do like brainless lefties

Agreed, when I started vaping a few months ago I did buy what I thought was "Genuine" kanger t3s but they were not "genuine", the way the add was worded made me believe they were genuine.

My bad I should have read it properly so now I only buy from trusted vape sellers own sites.

we use eBay it's convenient, and shy of one bad/fake Vision spinner, I've been pleased and saved a BUNCH.

I like the PayPal/eBay refund/case feature if I get screwed (buyer protection)

The latest, three on time and for $30.99 iStick's from the vilified vapeoutlet. The first one I had a problem with they were more than accommodating..and I"ve bought three more from them.

just like anything else it's "buyer beware"

This is just another example of the government (and this administration) overstretching its power in order to influence the market and the people in it.

This is not the first time that it has happened and it wont be the last, but it is still disgusting.

There is actually another thread that talks about the many other instances of this happening, maybe someone with a better memory will come along and link it... Bill G maybe of Kent C

This is nothing new and it's been a part of eBay's Terms of Service for several years now. It has nothing to do with government involvement... just eBay's internal policy to avoid having to deal with tobacco related products and regulation. It's easier for them to prohibit sales of related items than deal with Regulatory boloney. Since they own PayPal the same policy applies for US based companies only...

eBay is just very inconsistent on enforcement for US based users... technically you can buy/sell e-cigarette gear as long as it doesn't contain any nicotine, but you also can't use the word cigarette or any reference to tobacco, smoking cessation nor health claims in the product descriptions.

I received a few letters from eBay sellers making sure to keep contact with me that is in direct opposition to what you have stated. The government is absolutely the reason for this. The are strong arming business under the color of authority
I suppose there will always be diehard supporters of these guys no matter what they do. Very very sad.

Summarized version.

"I am writing you to tell you I have been advised by eBay they are now prohibiting the sale of all advanced personal vaporizer devices and associated hardware as well as all other products that can possibly be used with electronic cigarettes. They have already started removing listings due to pressure from the FDA.

The statement from eBay says:: "Based on a warning and requests from the FDA, eBay decided not to allow e-Cigarettes on the site."

How so? Please explain how the evil administration forced E-bay to create this policy. It's an extension of the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act. "But this isn't tobacco," screams the chorus. WE decided that it WAS tobacco to avoid falling under fda jurisdiction the last time around. Thus, can't be sold on E-bay. Now this has been the policy of e-bay for a long time, and this story circulates ever couple of months, and still there are thousands of e-cig related items on e-bay. Everything is gonna be OK, all you e-bay shoppers.

Now if eventually, "they" ban online sales for E-cigs entirely, then we can all start up the bonfires.

I keep hearing this don't buy on eBay chant.

In my experience many of the eBay sellers have actual physical stores. This is true whether I am buying vape gear, guitar stuff or Christmas toys for the kids.

I personally don't care whether Bubba is selling product off his wife's belly in the wood shed. Good price, good service and product selection are what's important when I am making purchases.

The government wielding powers not delegated by the people and NOT backed by the rule of law is what is concerning me, and should you too. Not whether Bubba meets your personal criteria as a preferred seller.

Just for giggles, I just did an ebay search using only the word "vapor." 135,651 results, and everything on the first ten pages was e-cig related. that's where I stopped looking. if you can't find what you are looking for in those 135,651 items, it's probably not because of a policy. I peeked at the other thread as well, so I also did a quick search using the word "Kanger." 8,748 results. We good?

You are mistaken. To illustrate this I will point out that even in states where the other smoking stuff is illegal you can still buy a pipe or a .... or hooka etc. With this strong arm tactic they cannot even sell mods.

Ebay does what it does. They are a private entity. If they so choose to not allow a certain product on their website, so be it. This is not something new. Ebay has had this stance for a long time. Maybe they have some type of government contract, maybe they don't.

If you have to rely on ebay to buy stuff, you just are too lazy to look elsewhere.

The tin foil hats on here are a little out of control.
