Gman, thank you - that was a great video. Extremely helpful. I'm wondering if a regular cigarette lighter would work for burning the wicks - or is it too low temp?

I've had almost an irrational distaste for cleaning cartos, but I finally took the plunge yesterday and cleaned one. Not as thoroughly as you demonstrate, but just fast and dirty: take it apart, rinse under the regular faucet water, pat dry, blow out, dry burn, brush off the coil with a soft paint brush, rinse again, pat semi-dry with a paper towel, put together, fill and vape. Took all of a couple of minutes, and the gunked up Flux worked as well as new afterwards.

They way you show it obviously would work better, though I'd probably wait until I had several of them to clean. Great job, thanks again.

Now I wonder how to clean Visions... Is it the same?

Cheers.

I suggest using only a utility style lighter since those can be held a distance away from you and your hands. Safer overall, I don't have any normal flame lighters to test right now, but if you were to get one the price would be negligible. I'm sure it would work though as I've seen some vids where they use matches to burn wicks. I have only one Vision Deux, but it hasn't gotten to the point I need to do any cleaning on it yet. Since it's basically a top wick design, I'm sure it would work. Give me a day or two & I'll test it out & let you know.

Oh & thanks to all who it may help out.

They work Great for GENTLY brushing of the coil "gunk" at refills and for removing ash after a Dry Burn.

I love those little brushes, too, zoiDman.

And they can be reused since they rinse clean.

I get my dentist to give me a few of those plax brushes every time I go. Never thought of them for cleaning Fluxo coils. Thanks for that tip.

Another thing that I do is at each refill, to dip the Brush in 100 Proof Vodka before giving the coil/wick a Gentle brushing.

This helps break down the "gunk" and prolong the time between Dry Burns.
