My brother stopped over yesterday and I was showing him my new vaping arsenal. He asked me to fill his tank with some Virus. Immediately he said, "This is awesome, what's the website?". Before I was done talking about NT juice he had placed his order.

When he was leaving, I filled him a little bottle, and topped off his tank. Turns out - he now has half of my Virus

And this!...
I received my Kayfun (ehpro) Saturday. Did my first build Sunday morning.
Soo easy! 1.4ohm - cotton wick, filled with Frenilla.
First few hits tasted a bit funky. I put my finger over the air flow hole and without firing sucked the drip tip a few times. (get your minds out of the gutter :vapor:)

This is great! Vapes like a champ. Frenilla is sooo good!
Loving this set-up a lot. Looks good on the provari, great flavor. I'm excited to try it on the MVP which should be here soon.

I added some blueberry to the remaining Frenilla and had blueberry-vanilla with my morning coffee. Yum!

I got the ehpro kayfun lite plus nano - perfect size tank for me.

I think my collection of Nautilus tanks are now going to be very lonely.

Happy monday! :vapor:

This is a wonderful story! So glad you have your brother hooked on vaping now thanks to Nicoticket! Ha!

Also, I'm happy for you that your Ephro works well and you are enjoying Frenilla! Its a wonderful mixer, as well as straight!

"Rawr". :)

Thanks! He's been vaping for 5 years - no relapses (I've relapsed) but he's ready for a gear/vape upgrade. I'm trying to talk him into a mod... and a RBA ...

I love that I can just dry burn and rewick. So much easier!

Thank you so much for your advice everyone. :)

Now I just need more virus

The KF style gennies are marvelous and reliable units. I didn't see you mention that you broke it down and gave it a good wash before you built it. If not, this is a sure cause of a "funky" taste. I always wash mine with a little diluted Lemon Joy, give it a good flush under the warmest water I can tolerate and then give it a good dry and blow out any extra moisture with a can of liquid air. (Dust Off) I do this after a few tanks and or a re-coil/re-wick as well.

Nothing but clean fresh flavor every time

As mentioned in my signature....A clean topper is a happy topper! ;)

This!! I didn't clean it! The funky taste reminded me of machine oil
I eventually stopped tasting it ... oh man, lol...
That had to be it. I thought it was the cotton wick at first, but it was soooo "machine oil"...

I will definitely clean it when I re-wick it, and clean the other one before I build on it.

Thank you for telling me this! It all makes sense now :)

If you didn't care for the machine oil taste, stay away from the Perkins Paste!

( A good wash is good practice with any new equipment and / or before a re-build ;) )

My GCD tank has not been washed since September...I like it like a teapot, you don't wash a teapot as the tea patina on the inside helps to flavor the tea, like seasoning the iron skillet...;)

That being said I learned just this past weekend how awful machine oil is to vape. Don't do like me, clean a new tank!!!

Megan, you've tasted that too? It's nasty....
You made me feel so much better just knowing I'm not the only one :)

I will forever and always wash new toppers!

I got a mega tank from a coop and loaded up my GCD without thinking and OMG IT WAS NASTY!!!!! Only time that has ever happened to me. I will definitely be washing them from now on!!! *blech*

Most wire is "drawn" (the opposite of extruded, which is pushing it through a die), hence the need for oil to make it possible. As it is drawn right into spools, there is always some oil left from machining, unless it gets washed (which would be an extra manufacturing step!). I visited a factory near Montreal that makes cabling and assorted wire goods; completely amazing for low tech!

That's awesome that you turned your brother on to NT! The juice practically sells itself, lol. I'm sure that you'll be able to get him to convert over to rtas as well. Just let him spend a little time with kayfun!

I'm so glad that you didn't have any issues building on the Kayfun! It's a whole new world isn't it? And it's fun to play with the builds. Be careful though, you're a little deeper down the rabbit hole now. It turns into a hobby real quick :D

I've got another Ehpro kayfun lite v2 dual air hole version coming in the mail today. So many awesome NT juices and not enough tanks ;) which is a delicious problem to have.

I feel you on the Nautiluses. I have two that have been on vacation ever since I received my first Russian 91%. I think I may revisit them soon and try out the new nautilus mini bvc coils in them, when they become more readily available. More for novelty than anything... I've been hearing good things about them. It's supposed to be a much better vape than the originals. In all reality though, I don't think anything could truly peel me away from rbas.

I also told my sister about NT and she already has her purple package. She's an old time ECFer too and she's the one who got me out of my vaping slump. She's got an amazing collection of vape gear.

Thanks to you guys - I started rebuilding my Nautilus coils before the Kayfun came. I did the single coil/cotton build and I surprised myself! It was pretty easy and improved the flavor/vape. I will sit and rebuild all my nautilus coils soon so I have back-ups and/or multiple flavors going. The "dead from the blister pack" coil thing hit me on my first pack of coils  so being able to rebuild them and make them better kind of makes up for that. The 5ml tank is an entire day flavor commitment though. The kayfun nano tank is a better size for me.

Building on the kayfun deck is fun! I really enjoy getting back into the *hobby* of vaping. I didn't realize how much I missed it :)

Today was a good Monday - vape mail! My purple package with Band Camp plus a few others - and - my new MVP2 - I really like it!

Broke open my second kayfun and washed it. Took 2 tries to get a good coil... wicked it, went to put it back together and....
I lost the chimney  I looked everywhere for over an hour. I even went through the garbage thinking I tossed it with some paper towels.... :( I have no idea what happened to it! So, I cleaned out, dry burned and rewicked my first one and filled it with Band Camp :vapor: Then ordered another kayfun from the same seller I got the first two from. My poor credit card  If I can't find the chimney I'll at least have spare parts.

I need to let it go because I keep getting up to search for that chimney...  :(

I have to look up the mini bvc coil... is it supposed to be an improvement?

Oh no! Did you lose one from the nano version? If so I can send you a link tomorrow, maybe later tonight, for a replacement chimney and tank if you can't find it. I've noticed tiny pieces of vape gear spontaneously combust from time to time.

Oh, I couldn't agree more. I still find myself looking for one of the magnets from the switch on my Dominus mod even though I received the upgraded switch over a month ago. I just know that sucker is stuck to some'thin! :sneaky:

Yup! From a brand new nano :( I was washing it before building - put everything on my table - had my coil and wick done - and the chimney was gone  I ordered another from the same place - I didn't even look anywhere to see if I could get replacement parts. Thanks mota!! :)
