....so apologies in advance for not being able to figure this out on my own! I want to switch to cartomizers (right now I have a small e-cig, 3 piece, and I am refilling cartridges quite often)

Do the Joye 510s and eGos use the same cartos? (From what I am seeing through a lot of the vendors I've looked at, that is the case). The primary reason I ask, is because I am curious if I would be using the same amount of liquid with a 510 or with an eGo. My biggest thing right now is moreso around how often I will fill cartos, and less about battery life. (Thinking of getting a regular 510, along with an eGo, or KGo based on other reviews I have read) I just can't figure out this whole carto thing, because most I have seen say they fit the 510, the eGo, etc.

Again..apologies on what is probably a really silly question, I just need some sort of confirmation after all of this information I have read and tried to digest the past few days! Thanks for the help!!

Hi Daniele, Think of the eGo as a big battery 510. They do have the same threads, so the cartos can be interchanged. The 510 wants to have a carto no lower than 2.5ohms. Most here will advise no less than 3ohms. The eGo on the other hand will work just fine down to (and below) 1.7ohms. The Ohms determine the amount of heat at the coil and the amount of vapor output capabilities. The reason the eGo can do lower ohm loads is a function of the larger battery. Most 510 slim batts are 180mAh to 280mAh which are not capable of supplying the A(amperage) of the larger eGo sized units. The eGo sizes range from 650mAh up to around 1300mAh. The general rule of thumb is that 100mAh will last a moderate vaper 1 hour. I hope this helps un-boggle some of the confusion. Good Luck Happy Vaping.

And Daniele, to follow up on the second part of your question. The lower ohm load carto will use more liquid at a faster rate because it is heating and vaporizing more liquid faster. Your carts from the 3 piece you have hold no more than about 15 drops. This number comes from my own experience with my own old 510 three piece. I also have an even older 3 piece that the carts held about seven drops. The standard for cartos is 1mL of liquid which for a point of reference is about 25drops. So with this info you can figure out what you use now versus what a standard carto holds. That should help you at least get in the ballpark.
