It's all my fault! I did a computer clean up, and it started as soon as I tried to log back on.
Each time I come to ECF on my iPad, it tells me I need to logon. If I don't put anything in the boxes, it gives me a page that my logon is not valid, yet I am also fully logged in and can get to my profile as well. I also have a line of smilies at the top of every page, and all the icons have also changed to this

I haven't been logged out, recently at least since about 10AM EDT, but my recent activity shows activity from many users in threads I've never posted to.

I also noticed that while browsing people from "My Visitors" list several had posts from users other than themselves. Most only showed their own activity. Really strange???
I believe that their "friends" postings showing up there is normal, seen that going on for quite some time at any rate.
Folks with no friends will of course only show their own posts.

This is correct -- it is part of the "Activity Stream" that was implemented by vBulletin to give the forum a social media type interface for younger more Facebook oriented users. Personally I don't like it at all but I'm an old fart...

hehehehe, I don't know about anyone else but I feel bad for the admins and the people who are working so hard to fix this, it's no fun when you run a forum and someone or something throws a wrench and gums up the whole works!!! I think you guys are doing a great job and keeping a cool head about it. It's all good...if it keeps logging me out I will just keep logging back in lmao!
Still getting logged out here, too. Not while I'm actually browsing the forum, though, I can even close my browser (which is set to clear my cache and history on closing) and open a new window and I'm still logged in, it only happens if I leave for a little while and then come back. Just cleared my cookies for ECF and will see if the problem persists the next time
Done all the flash/cache/cookie cleaning, logged in to get new ones, still logging me out.

"Remember Me" works by a cookie so doing a cookie cleaning will cause you to be logged out as will using some of the privacy features of different browsers. I haven't had any issue with being logged out but I'll keep an eye on this thread and we'll continue to make any adjustments that we can in order to resolve the issue for as many people as possible.
Thanks for the update. I run Fx Chrome and Opera and never seem to have any issues with login and "Remember Me" as well as probably 99% of the issues reported, so I have to rely on you folks to point out these issues. I don't know, maybe I have magic browsers
I left my machine for about four hours and am still logged in. As far as the "streaming consciousness of social media look-a-like" contest, it's more of a pain than anything else. If I want to reference something I posted I'm stuck going through page after page of stuff I have no interest in. If people want social media let them use Face Book and Twitter! PS - I'm an old fart too!!
