Did a Malwares acan -- no viruses.
Cleared cache and cookies again (and found e-cig forum has two cookies!). Rebooted. Came to site. Logged on. Went other places, did other things, came back, had to log on again.
Using Chrome. My browser does not remember passwords (I'd never use that 'feature').

But it's also set to remember my User Name--isn't it supposed to remember my entire login information?
Using FF 21.0 with NoScript; ECF and google allowed to run. Visited sporadically for relatively short periods of time over the past few days.
Haven't had any issues. I do log off every time before closing my browser.

Using FF, and site won't keep me logged in. Remembers my password, but asks me to re-login if I'm gone from the site for more than 20 minutes or so ...
When I use my father's computer the same thing always happens. The password is linked to your user name. It fills in the password because you've already entered your user name. If you started with the password box, it wouldn't fill it in.

When I was booted off yesterday I had to type in my username but not my password, It remembered my password. Go figure.

'Remember me' has never gone away when cleaning my temp files with Ccleaner. I haven't even used it yet everytime I have come here today, at least 4 or 5 times, I have to log back in.........
Still have to manually log on every time I visit from my computer (safari). Remember me is not working anymore with my computer. After I log in, it takes me to the log in page telling me to log in, even though I successfully logged in.

I don't understand why some people are still having and still trouble getting logged off (and it's working fine for myself and others). If possible can you send me your cookies before logging back on, and after logging on related to www.e-cigarette-forum.com.
I have to wonder if the individuals that are still running into issues have security software that also looks at cookies (persistent, third party, etc.). Might want to try disabling any security software and visit the site to see if the login issue persists.
but why would that happen now? assuming they had the same security software all along, there were no problems till john did what he did .................
It's all part of testing to see if the issue can be narrowed down to a specific cause.
I don't have any issues on Linux using Firefox and/or Chrome. Haven't really tested much with Windows (which I'll do later this morning). But I'm not running anything that deals with cookies, either. Some of the security suites like Norton, McAfee, etc. DO deal with cookies. If we can rule out certain things, it makes troubleshooting that much easier.

running windows here with ff and adblocker and the problem seems to be resolved for me ..............
i still think it has to be related to which server you end up on
i don't agree with your deduction because whoever still has a problem did not get logged out before whatever changes were made. and i can't imagine that the nature of the cookies themselves is different now.
