Man I've been without a Marlboro Red for 5 months but the last couple of weeks has been worse than the first day i laid them down and started vaping. This past week I almost broke down and bought a pack but cheap me just couldn't see paying for a pack of smokes while I have 100 mil of juice but it might just happen before long:unsure:

I've been lucky in that since I put down the smokes and started vaping, I haven't had an urge to buy any cigarettes, but everyone is different.

As omyeyes mentioned, your nicotine level may not be strong enough.

I started vaping at 24mg, and it's still my preferred strength about 75% of the time. I've been using 18mg e-liquids here and there, and I'm mostly satisfied, but sometimes I just need the hit of the 24mg stuff.

Also, if you DO slip up and have a smoke, don't beat yourself up about it too much. There are folks here that have been vaping far longer than you and I that still fall off the wagon every once in a blue moon.

The important thing, as has been mentioned here time and time again, isn't how many you smoke, it's how many you avoid.

Hoping that the urge passes quickly!

If chain vaping through the cigarette pangs doesn't do it for you, you could consider WTA juuice. Here's a thread about one person's experience with it. There is a fair bit of information around about it.

I don't know what hardware you're using either, but going with higher power gear can help too.

Hang in there. I also had trying times the first few months but it does get easier with time.

Best of luck with it :thumb:

There are times when the vaping isn't working. Sometimes something as simple as a flavor change will help. Sometimes it will require an increase in nic level. And sometimes it is the gear that is failing. You might try a new carto or atty. It seems everone is using clearomizers right now, but they sometimes mute the flavor and don't deliver as strong a hit. You could try a dual coil carto (which has worked for me) or dripping into a clean atty.

Don't think it's the gear I'm using an itaste vv 3.0 with a mini pro tank 2. Vaping 12 mil anything higher than that gives me an ungodly head ache Maybe it's just this juice it's good juice but not the best I've had by any means but for the price I had to try it, Not mentioning the name I don't want to slander anybody's juice because I've wanted a smoke. I think a lot of it is stress but who really knows. Thanks for the replys

What is the nic level you're using?? It may not be strong enough for you. Try and up it a bit and see if that works for ya.
I think if you do cave in and have one, you'll be disappointed. They taste horrible even after 1 month, never mind 5 months!!
BTW: Where are you in NW GA??

Oh sing it brother. Yes this last two weeks for me has been hell and I don't know why . The point is I want a cigarette but I don't want to taste one. I think it has something to do with the comfort of one or what I consider the confort it would bring me, I just shake my head because I really don' understand it. Point is I fight it and won't have a cigarette . I changed my flavors up and changed my nic from 12 to 15 and it all has helped a lot. Good luck but keep fighting the good fight.

I would buy something new. Itaste SVD, maybe a new head to go on it and some extra burners and keep vaping. Works for me every week.

What you are experiencing is the last of the "other chemicals" from the cigs leaving your system. The good news is this should be the last round of them, so if you can get past this, you should be in the clear.

Can you tell us more about this last of other chemicals leaving your system? I've been cig free and vaping for over 7 months and I'm going through some bothersome health issues. Mainly acne. I know you aren't a doctor (unless you are, then my apologies!) but thought I could see what else you knew about this.

Not sure about acne, that is probably something to do with either the PG or VG in the juice. What I was referring to was withdrawal symptoms. All of the chemical additives in cigarettes leave the body at different stages. The first stage comes a few days after quitting. Then it seems to get easier for several weeks. Then stage 2 kicks in and a new round of withdrawals comes. After that it gets easier again for several months then the last of the chemicals start fading and the cravings come back for the third and final time. If you can make it past the last set of cravings most people are home fee.

Hang in there buddy, you'll get through this. Keep coming here to talk about it, sometimes just venting helps more than you know.

I agree, maybe try a new mod, tank, or at least juice to help you through this. I've tried a ton of bacco juices and have found a few for me that closely replicate what I remember smoking to be. Handsen/Dekang Desert Ship is a juice I vape every morning, after meals, when I'm a little stressed, etc. and it reminds me enough of smoking that I don't go crazy wishing I could smoke. I have found, when that just doesn't cut it anymore, Halo Tribeca for some reason packs a bigger or fuller "cig" punch at least for me. Same nic level but provides more of what I imagine WTAs must offer as the result is different. Works like a charm for my really tough moments.

You'll be OK, you've been off the cigs for seven months and doing great!

I'm a noobie, but I've been thinking a lot about this vaping thing. One of the reasons I think it is a really good way to stop smoking is that if you do fall off the wagon, you just get right back on again. It's not like stopping cigs cold where if you break down and HAVE to have a cig you're stuck with 19 more cigs and only craving to look forward to. For the rest of your life. I feel like I can, if I have to, smoke a cigarette and not fall into the pit again. Which makes it easier to not smoke the cigarette.

Typically the headache is from doing too much nic at one time. I'd still increase from 12 mg and space out the vaping a bit...worked for me..

I am still getting my round 1 cravings for a cigarette. When the urge hits, I usually chain cape until it goes away. One thing that has helped me is having a back up tank with a different flavor e-juice in it. All my stuff is 18mg, but sometimes, my all day vape doesn't seem to cut it. I'll have either a Protank or an RDA that I keep in my truck as a back up unit, and vape on that for a bit. A change in flavor seems to help me when the urge is strong.

I know you said you dont think its your device but every time i got in that mood i got a new device, or atty and some juice to go with it. if you dont have much money get on FastTech and get something new you can get a mech for $15 and a Dripper or kayfun for $15. Its fun learning to build plus you save a little more money on coils.
