This is just a FYI on a battery for a Lavatube.

I already had a couple Tenergy 18650 2600mah batteries for my flashlights and ready that they work in a Lavatube. They do work, but are a little long. The end cap barley closes but functions properly still.

I just purchased some High Drain Panasonic CGR18650CH 10A 18650 Rechargeable Battery Cell IMR. Lets hope these work and fit properly.

Hi, thanks for the info. I have the TW version of the Lavatube (Torpedo) and I'm using the batteries provided with it, do you happen to know if I can use BRC batteries on it, i have a bunch of them (even 4000mAh) but i don't really know what BRC is and if its safe to use in the lavatue. Have you tried that kind of batteries in your lavatube?

I wouldn't use the BRC batteries in anything larger than a bedside nightlight. They perform horribly in tests, and are nowhere near the advertised capacity; IIRC, 3000mAh -> 2200mAh actual, and the 4000mAh -> 2500mAh actual. Those numbers are from a .2A load, a 3A load is worse, and a 5A load is in the danger zone (que top gun theme song).

The Panasonic CGR High Drain is probably the best 18650 on the market today. Only the hardcore AW fans would argue that.
