I lived in Kalifornia most of my life. My children were all born there. When it came time to retire, I arrived at the conclusion that it is not the place to live there without having to apply for some kind of assistance. So in 2011 I moved out here to Texas and am happy to say that I've been able to afford my living expenses ever since.

My daughter and her husband (who don't have children) moved at the same time I did and they just finished paying the exorbitant State Income taxes from Kalifornia this month. Needless to say, we, all of us love Texas because of it (and there's no state income tax).

I'm sorry to hear news about how the nanny statists are continuing to affect your every day freedom. I used to love California, but unfortunately, it is no longer what it used to be.

Dihydrogenmonoxide is a clear and present danger to our children.

It causes death when inhaled in small amounts, is the most potent solvent on the planet, and the food industry insists on putting it in your food!

It's everywhere and nobody even knows about it! It's outrageous. We ingest up to a gallon a day without even realizing it!

The machining industry uses it to "clean" their equipment, and guess what so does the restaurant industry! It's in your food every time you eat out!

It's even in the organic food. A recent test showed that organic foods contained ridiculously high concentrations of dihydrogenmonoxide.

Think of the children.

I think I have built up an immunity to it, I had 5 or 6 bottles of it today (helps me avoid vapor's tongue) and I feel fine.

Thought I'd throw my quick story in. I went to a concert in Ohio, at a bar. I called first and spoke to a manager, asked if ecigs were allowed. She said as long as it doesn't look like a cigarette, (I use mods) I used it maybe five minutes, a bouncer slapped me on the shoulder and told me to take it outside with the smokers. Confused I found the manager and asked again. She said again, it's fine. I told her what happened. She said, "It's Ohio, the boy's don't know about those here." With permission I began to vape again. Not long after another bouncer told me, "No smoking! I see you putting that in your pocket!" I gave up and left.

I was on an Alaska flight the other day and during the obligatory "no smoking" announcement at the beginning of the flight, the flight attendant mentioned that "this includes those little e-cigarettes which are very illegal on a plane". This is a first that I've heard ecigs mentioned specifically, but also I was wondering on a scale of 1 to 10, how illegal ecigs actually were...

I actually order all my juice from Mount Baker Vapor. I didn't even know about Spring Vapor. Where are they located? I will go check them out. The only local B&M I knew of was Vapor Depot on Louetta. They make juice there but have very little in the way of hardware.

While I share everyone's frustrations, there is something that can be done about stuff like this. It doesn't always work - CASAA and other vapers tried to stop the LB ord. But CASAA has been successful elsewhere in stopping anti-vaping legislation and ordinances. For ex., CASAA recently stopped the city of La Mesa (also in Kalifornia) from banning the sale of vaping supplies to adults.

CASAA has also been instrumental in keeping simple minor sales bans from morphing into legislation and ordinances that define vaping as smoking, as well as stopping confiscatory taxes on vaping supplies, etc.

So to those of you who are upset, but who haven't yet taken action - I say: don't just stand there and gripe ... do something.
