This is really weird

This is so strange and I wonder if any of you have encountered the same thing. I have one Stardust clearomizer which will not work on my Ego 1000 mah passthrough. All of my other clearomizers and cartomizers work on it just fine. This one clearomizer does work on my other Ego batteries with no problem. If it were a battery failure this battery wouldn't be working with any other clearomizers and if it were a clearomizer problem it wouldn't be working on other batteries.

So now I just have to make sure that this particular clearomizer is used on a different battery and not the passthrough. Very strange considering they are all Ego batteries.:?:

It could be as simple as the pass through connection center contact not protruding enough to mate with the center contact on the stardust or the stardust center contact being recessed a little more than other atomizers you use.

Try viewing the threads on the stardust from the sides and comparing the height of the center contact with others that work. I'm thinking you might see that it doesn't sit up as high as the ones that do work on the passthrough. If that's the case, you can nudge it up a little higher using a jumbo paper clip. Straighten one leg of the paper clip and use needle nose pliers to create a tiny right angle on the end. Stick in just inside the hole in the center of the contact on the stardust and use it to pull up slightly until you get it raised enough to stick up the same amount as the atommizers that work. Gently but firm pressure is all you need and it's easier if you go from one side to the other. Pull a little on one side and then do the same on the other side until you can see a slight increase in height when viewed from the side.

It seems as though you are right. The one stardust centre is just slightly lower than the other stardusts. Funny that it works on my other Ego batteries. I tried to compare the center part of the Twist and the regular Ego batteries to that of the Passthrough and they don't look any different. So this means that it is a Stardust problem although not a problem for other Ego batteries. I still find it strange, but at least it still works on the other Egos. Thanks for your help

If you can find something that will fit in the center hole at the bottom (like a pointed serrated knife blade, Lol) you can give a slight twist and slight pull and move the center post of the Star Dust down a bit.

It does not take very much to make a huge difference!
