A Bosnian accent???
Honestly, I wouldn't know! LOL!

The video isn't my bird. That one sounds British to me. And singing Jingle Bells, too! A seasonal video :)

I got Sophie from a rescue last year. When I was told her previous owner was foreign, I asked if she had an accent or spoke a foreign language. I was told, no, she doesn't talk. Half an hour after I got her home, she said, "Hello.". Definitely had an accent, lol! A bit later she asked me, "Who are you?". Yep, accent, and a rather smart thing to ask. So I contacted the rescue to ask what country her previous owner was from, and was told Bosnia. She now has more than 20 voices.

That's wonderful! They are very intelligent birdies. Your friend seems to be even more so.
Thank you for adopting a rescue!

A good friend of mine had an African Grey and it would yell for husband in the exact same voice that she used when she would yell for him. He'd come and ask her what she wanted and she'd look at him strangely and say I didn't call you! That bird also knew some pretty salty language so that's what they named him.

She does women's voices, men's voices, cartoon voices. And my other Grey's voice so I'm often unsure which of them just spoke to me, lol!

3 of my birds are rescues. Pete, Rowdy and Merlin each have their own voice. But, Sophie is like the voice master. The Bosnian accent is a hoot though. I will have guests and Sophie will say something. Everyone suddenly sits up and all look at each other, wondering who said that. And I say in this dismissive way, "Oh, yeah, Sophie is Bosnian.". Then they all want to know why I got a bird all the way from Bosnia.

Our next door neighbor where we use to live had a Cockatoo. We'd take care of her when the neighbor went out of town, cool bird. She had a huge vocabulary and sounded just like our neighbor...also ate McD's cheeseburgers

We were sitting on the patio at the back of the house one afternoon and kept hearing the bird saying help me, help me. My wife said "do you think there's something wrong?" I said no, it's just that noisy bird! This went on for maybe 15 minutes and my wife finally said "I'm going over there to see if everything is ok", alright dear...waste your time if you want says I.

It was then that we found out that our neighbor had had hip replacement surgery several years prior and was out front watering the flowers when her hip went out. My wife found the woman out front on the ground calling for help.

Needless to say, we did frequent home checks on her after that and ended up calling 911 3 more times over the years when her hip went out again! Never did learn to differentiate the neighbor's voice from the birds though.

(Man did I feel like a schmuck!!) She got lot's of free food from me after that!

Trying to get this one's weight under control, he's about 19 lbs:

His little friend is about a third of his size, just over 6 lbs:

The little one has a habit to sleep like she's dead.

BOOM!

Both are cute but I like the hefty one a lot, Sisco (my cat) weighed in at about 16/17lbs but lived to 13 just shy of 14 years old. With a cat that had diabetes and had to take daily insulin injections we did pretty good. Tried everything to get his weight under control but if we didn't feed him enough he started going after the dogs food. He was my real life Garfield, I miss him a lot was one of the coolest animals I ever owned.

I love them, and they are lucky for that. spoiled rotten, rude little monsters.

That looks a lot like the bed when I lay down at night with Buster and Marley. :D

I just have to get Marley to figure out she weighs 65 pounds not 6.5.
