This may have been dumb but it opened my eyes to a whole new world

I was washing out my CE4 the other day, washed it out did a dry burn. I said to myself what is this dripping thing all about. SO I didn't' see why there wasn't a reason I could try it with this CE4 without filling the tank and applying a couple drops of e-juice to the wick and element. I reassembled the CE4 without Placing the runner sleeve with the metal cone. Effectively giving a clear hit form the atomizer to the drip tip. The flavor( Coffee) and hit was freaking amazing. This lasted for a few hits even did it with a couple flavors. Then I lost it, I couldn't get it back even tried a brand new CE4. I decided that it wasn't a good idea to use anything for anything but what its intended use was so I broke down and purchased a phoenix rebuild-able atomizer. I though for sure I would be getting these amazing hits of flavor. There was really no difference between the CE4 I am using with the tank full and this new atomizer except maybe fore a bit more vapor. What happened to all that full flavor I got from dripping that CE4 can / will I ever get it back ?

I am vaping with ego twist , is there a trick to getting that rich full blast of flavor ?

Did you per-burn the coil in the phoenix? And what's the ohms of the coil that's in it? Or are you running the coil that came with it? For me the flavor is always there but I run a 1.5 ohm coil at 4.2v and get awesome flavor and vapor.

It's actually the coil that it came with. So maybe I need to get some new coil. I Have been vaping at around 3.8v Because any higher and I taste a burnt flavor but I tried it at 4.2v and I didn't really get that burnt flavor odd, don't understand why at 4 I get it but not at 4.2
