Kate, we all miss you! You guided and mentored each one of us. You always insisted on integrity and truth. You have my utmost admiration!!! Never change, you are heads above any banning entity!

Could be the "ban" has been lifted......Now the only thing in question is whether Kate want's to come back?

My ban is over but the reason for it remains.
A 'reviewer' put 'independent reviews' on the review board. At least 25% of these were found out to be marketing threads once he started selling some of the products he had posted reviews for. This had been known about for at least four weeks by an admin before becoming public knowledge.
Some people were influenced to buy products based on the 'reviews'.
When asked about the ethics of having marketing threads on a supposedly independent review board the trader never gave an answer except to state that 'it's who I am' and that the threads should not be moved. Admins chose to ignore this and when one was asked about other known marketing threads on the review board no answer was given.
Legitimate consumer concerns were not addressed, threads were closed, all discussion discouraged and selected history wiped. Victims did not receive acknowledgement and the marketing was removed from the review board apparently under duress. Rather than recognise and deal with dodgy ethics it was seen fit to cover up. Banning me for stating a truth that would be provable in court but not dealing with the problem shows where priorities lie for this site.
Due to control freakery, lack of trust, conflicting commercial interests and questionable management motives I am not going to be hanging around giving the impression that this is a community-safe site.

Too bad..you would do far more good for the community as a whole if you hung around. Life is filled with compromise, so in the end it usually makes more sense to do whatever will go furthest in accomplishing your own personal goals.

demand is too high right now. i don't think most people care if the devil himself is selling supplies, as long as they get their stuff.
keep 'em scared and keep hoarding.
the place has surrendered to the fanboys and their suppliers under the "implied" threat of legal action and/or loss of revenue.
the "associates" have organized and slither freely from thread to thread.
i'm happy to watch them cut each other's throats silently from the sidelines. there are lots of other places and people to spread the word to.

I see your point and understand your absence, but I believe the good you do far outweighs any negatives caused by others.
I also think they could interpret your absence as a "win" for them.

Come back, Kate! The people that suffer from your absence are not the ones you have issues with. The community here as a whole lose out.
Your presence on these boards do not give the "impression" it's a community safe site, it assists in making it more so. The community is here, like it or not. The more positive forces here, the better.

Kate, I wish you would stay, too. Add a signature statement about how you feel about the forum, but stay because the rest of us are lost without you. There was a thread by a person in need this morning that I knew you would be able to help... and all I could do was look for a thread that you had started long ago and cite it.
