It's just people who are ignorant. I never trust journalists (who have zero scientific background) to provide me information on scientific studies. I go directly to the source and read THE ACTUAL STUDY myself.
Basically, it is true if you overheat an e-cig and intake dry, burnt hits that you are getting more fomaldeyhe than a regular cig. However, there's two problems with this:
1) No one actually does this
2) Cigarettes STILL have more carcinogens. This study was only about formaldehyde. So even if we all took dry, burnt hits all day long, analogs STILL have MORE carcinogens.
The authors of this study (actual scientists who did the experiments) said themselves that their work has been taken out of context and that they DO NOT believe the data prove that e-cigs are more dangerous than analogs. They said "that is not our position." Of course the journalists ignore this because they want more hits.
