the same thing happened to one of my 123A batteries for my SD, if they're "smart batteries" or "protected batteries" the chip is probably fried, just go to dealextreme.com or ebay and get some new ones, they're not that expensive but beware you need much patience for most of them ship from out of the country and will take a while to get to you.

Also...the first charge of the batt is the most important...you really want to let it charge for 5hrs the first time...The green light indicator turns green after a short time, like 30 to 45min but if im not mistaken it goes into a 'trickle charge' state after that...i know its hard to wait that long but my batts last like 6hrs...granted im not a very heavy vaper but im pretty consistent, after a few hours the power does drop off a bit so i just hold the button a bit longer and its all good. :)

Bend the metal pieces out on your charger... the ones that hit the negative/flat end. The tenergy chargers sucks out of the box, takes some finagling, kinda like a 60's model buick. Once you get her going though, she is a champ.

Yeah heavy vaping, about 2-3 hours....get a passthrough... there you go.

Gibby

Got one Gibby thanks. I use the prodigy out of the truck. PT in the truck.

You know I was just messing around with my Prodigy after reading the thread about the guy who bent his tube where the end cap goes. I took mine apart like I was changing the batteries and put it back together. I gotta tell you I did nothing different and I could swear I put another battery in there. This thing is putting out a LOT MORE vapor than it was just a minute ago. WTF did I do? I don't want to even bump it too hard now in fear of loosing this killer vapor. Maybe the atomizer came to life all of a sudden. It has been in use for a week or so,,, I don't have any idea what happened but I like it... lol....

Corrosion on the threads cause a bad connection. Unscrewing and rescrewing the end cap can restore a good connection. Any time your prodigy gets weak, do this to restore power.

This worked for me.

I noticed poor performance on my Prodigy, then it would intermittently not work at all sometimes. I tried new batteries, atomizers, nothing seemed to work well.
Knowing that brass tarnishes, I went to Walmart and purchased a tube of MAAS brand metal polishing cream. I used a Q-Tip to apply and wipe off all of the brass contacts. I was amazed on the amount of black tarnish that came off of the contacts. I mean, it was a lot! Now my contacts are bright and have a "chrome-like" shine. My Prodigy was only about a month old. The performance is up to par again... love my Prodigy.
No doubt basic maintenance is needed for a smooth running vaporizer.
