Hey now.....she cut her own grass....I cut mine a couple/three weeks back and she stopped in to ask if I'd also received a letter...I did several years back.....The last mowing I did ride down and check her grass...it was looking good but I would have cut it need be....Yesterday I just didn't have the time too check....Truth of the matter is we all have centipede grass...Low growing and looks great even if it hasn't been cut in a while...Anytime the city/state does any work roadside they always seed with bahia...We call it "Crow's Foot" as it shoots a black seeded stem about a foot high.......hard too cut without mutiiple passes and it seeds quickly....never have I heard anyone say anything nice about bahia.....

I was being overrun by dandelions as well...They also seed quickly and spread like wildfire...I tried a new Bayer product for Southern lawns and while Bayer makes me a little uneasy the stuff got rid of 90% of the dandelions...Hoping I got the rest yesterday....I plan a fall application of earth worm castings to maybe boost the soil a bit...When this dang Ranger gets finished I swear it's time for a break in this action...

Well this is something new with ECF, usually when I leave or am typing a long PM, after a time ECF will log me out. Now I've fixed me some breakfast watched some T.V. and taken a nap. LOL I go to get back on ECF and I'm still signed in hours later. I guess I'll just have to remember to log out from now on LOL. :)

Fran I'm so sorry about your CC but thank goodness they caught it. It seems like the last 3 months our bank has been getting weekly red flags on cards for fraud. In the past the alerts come with some customers actually losing some money before the fraud was detected, we can get their money back but it takes time to do that and it leaves the customer without that money for awhile.

Now it seems like we are getting several red flags on cards a week but so far even with the increased fraud activity our customers haven't lost any money just the aggrevation of waiting to get a new card. I think that Visa, Mastercard etc. are using even stricter guidelines.

In fact I had a customer yesterday that his card was flagged but we were able to confirm the charges were his and his card was just reactivated. What is really bad is we have alot of truck drivers whom just use their debt cards and if theirs gets flagged it can leave them stranded. It isn't normal "banking procedure" but because of the need we have and can wire them their money to either another bank or western union that is close to them.

Don't assume that it was your fault, Fran. There were fraudulent charges on my CC a number of years ago and I hadn't used that card in several years. The hackers ran random numbers through their computer, until they found a card that was active. The only thing that I ever won.

Some years later, my DC # was stolen, but again it wasn't my fault, they had hacked into the banks computer and stole a bunch of DC numbers. Again, I was a winner!!!! :(

Fran I got one card for internet use. It has 4 dollars in it to keep it open. It's set up so if there's no money in it no money comes out. When I want to purchase online I move that amt over and make my purchase. It's worked good and I quit getting those damn thieves from bothering me anymore. If they need 4 bucks that bad they can get it but that's all.

Think I'll start using a pre-paid card online. This card was only used online.

I would continue to use the CC for online purchases. You will get your money refunded for fraudulent charges but with a pre-paid card you have less assurances or recourse that you will get your money refunded if compromised.

It's just another debit/credit card but I went to the bank and set it up that way after they got me once a few yrs. ago.

It's a pain in the neck to have a CC or DC stolen, Fran, but like Evie said, if you don't lose any money because of it, it's all good in the end.

The problem is if you get too many of those you have problems with your bank.

If it's your fault, 5card, yes. But many times it's not the fault of the card owner. It's more profitable for someone to hack a bank's computer and get many card numbers, than to steal only one.

Right but the bank isn't going to continue losing money because you keep using your card in a high risk area. Mine was gotten from an online purchase. BTW they got the people that did mine and many others.
Besides the way I have it set up puts the blame on the bank if they give any out.
