Ouch Bov!!!! Did they tell you to find an alternative pain reliever during this process? Just wondering.

When middle dd was little and was sick, I was giving her Motrin for days in a row.....and all of a sudden, her gums were peeling and bleeding!!! Scared me to death. Needless to say, they only get Motrin for high fevers ever since.

Oh no, I bet that was scary Tracy! Yes the ER Doc suggested I talk to my primary Dr about it. I haven't taken any more since Saturday. I've felt like a wrung out dish rag and slept most of today.

Give Aleve liquid gels a try,Bov.

It's still ibuprofen Fran, the same as Motrin. The problem is taking a high daily dose of it thins your blood

Maybe your Dr. could prescribe a mild pain pill like Vicodin?

I hope your rest helped ya some Bov. I feel like I could use an entire day to just do whatever I want.....which would probably consist of napping in between watching some movies. Oh that sounds wonderful!!! (someday)

Dang Bov sorry to hear that...

Aleve I thought was naproxen sodium.....maybe loaded with acetaminophen as well....I read acetaminophen actually has no pain relief properties....triggers the brain to release a chemical that relieves the pain....a big fat doobie triggers the brain in the same way....Not that I'm suggesting that...YMMV

We are a 'medical' state now Dee...something to consider. Aleve is naproxine sodium, but still in the nsaids family so it also has the blood thinning issues. I'll have to talk to my Dr to see if some are better than others.

They gave me a tetnus shot and a side effect from it has me running down stairs a lot (no bathroom upstairs)
