Good afternoon everyone!!!

Man you ladies are tougher than me! My house is dang near sealed shut now till spring! Storm windows up and washed, ACs out of the windows, and the one that stays in has a brand new insulation box fitted, made and installed! Winter......I hate it!

We had a nasty fire across the street from me on Halloween. Three houses (row homes) are destroyed and 9 people are without a home. The girls and I are going through our clothes to see what we can donate to the families. As for today, I've rounded up a lot of Madison's clothes that are headed toward the small side for her and am making a trip to deliver. I cannot even imagine what those poor families are going through. Breaks my heart!

ElDee, Good for you for getting those keys! I will be thinking of you and Spike tomorrow for sure. Hang in there bud!

Yeah, you have to remember that my room has the baseboard heat wrapped around 3 sides of my room. The thermostat is in Katie's bedroom, north side of the house, and only one short run of baseboard vent. Even tho we keep her thermo set at 62 it cycles constantly. Not to mention the amount of heat generated by my full tower computer, and a 50" plasma tv. There aren't any shut off valves to re-route the hot water away from the baseboards in my room.

Dee, I'll sure be thinking about Spike tomorrow! I know just how you feel...but I'm sure he'll be fine.

Tracy, it's a very kind thing for you and your girls to do for the families. What a great teaching moment for your already wonderful girls

Picked up 2 big fat roasting hens at the grocery. Last week they were on sale for .98 per lb...this week .59 a lb! It's a good thing I like chicken

Thank goodness that snow missed us Fran!!

Anything below 60* is unsatisfactory.....maybe make that 65*.....

Couple years back a family down the road got burned out...I took a boat load of my stuff along with some of my neice's clothes...They had relocated and were in a pinch for firewood...so yeah I came back and took them a load...Pretty sure firewood was what caused their house to burn in the first place...They needed and I had...

7:15 for Spike in the am...next day 7:30 for Mom....Sure I'll be in the zombie state...Very glad my Aunt Gaynelle has been taking Mom too Chapel Hill for the hearing aide stuff...That's my 7:30 drop...

Boiling eggs and cooking sausage here in a few...Bass Farms "Hot"....Southern Style at it's store bought best

Dee, that's my preferred daytime temp LOL! I'd be happy with 60'ish days and 40'ish nights...no need for heat or air conditioning!!

I have Katie pretty well trained to make any appts that she wants me to take her to no earlier than 11am  She wanted me to get up at the crack of dawn to take her to vote tomorrow. I told her that she's welcome to ride with me, but the polls are open all day and I wasn't breaking my routine. If she wants to wait til I'm up, coffee'd and ready to ride...fine.

She just got done raking me over the coals about how much it's gonna cost her for me to use the crock pot 8 hours x 2 roasting hens!! Instead of arguing with her, I pulled up CP&L's website, and showed her that it was going to cost a whopping 20 cents per 8 hours...and slapped two quarters on the counter for her. Told her to keep the change

Hey there Rosco !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spike is at the vet getting the cleaning done....Usually I'd be sawing logs at this time...The propane in the logs is low...that smelly stuff they add is starting too smell...a sure indication the level in the tank is low...So it's the propane store for me today....

Bov how you put up with that woman is beyond me...I try and save all I can but if you gotta cook.....COOK!!!!!! I mean you gotta eat...

Breaking a sugar addiction isn't an easy thing too do...My diet was more of a lifestyle change as either I remain on the diet or get fat..Dangitt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thinking that finding a grocery with a salad bar would be wise...I like a salad from time too time but after buying all the stuff I like it usually goes bad....salad after salad is not an option...one or two a week and I'm good...Hovering around 180lbs. but you gotta watch it...
