Crest is owned by P&G, too much money behind them to ever see any real fines for anything they do. Not that Colgate-Palmoltive Corp is any better.

I knew the vet would recommend the dental cleaning for Spike. I used to have it done for Chase, but at his age I don't want him put under anesthesia for it. It's hard to decide what to do sometimes, but hopefully Spike will have good results with some of the holistic advice from the site you linked.

Bov when he feels a little better I'm gonna clean his teeth myself...I've seen plenty of dog teeth in my days and his aren't that bad at all...Def didn't wanna have him knocked out unless absolutely necessary..One of the tinctures on the site was said to soften and remove the plaque...I'll be having some of that as well in the near future...The vet also thought he may have just lost a baby tooth since it seems to have healed rather quickly...Not so sure about that.

I had a little success cleaning Spike's teeth tonight...Just gonna go a little along and not try and do it all at once...In reality they are actually pretty clean...Directions on the tooth paste said make it an enjoyable experience for the dog....apply a little on your finger and let the dog lick it off....All I got was a "what's this sheet" look...The brushing didn't go over well at all...Hoping the wash clears up the gingivitis quickly...

LOL @ Spike and Chase! Bella must be related because whenever you come at her with anything scented (even and most especially sprays) she does what we call "smiles" at us REAL BIG!!! Her lips curl back and she shows her teeth but not in an intimidating way, there's never any growling involved....she, just, SMILES!!! :D

I can cut her nails, clean her ears, groom her even, but stay away from her with scented stuff.....what girl doesn't like to smell pretty?!?! Brat!

I had over a cord of wood that wouldn't fit in the shed so it's been out in the weather and rain. I was hoping to get through it before snow but it looks like that's not going to happen. I got a load on my buggy today and unloaded it all onto the porch. Terrible mess. Going to load up again tomorrow and cover. We have the S word in our forecast but more rain first.

Dang Fran!!! I'm still rolling the shorts and flips here...Record low forecast @ Thursday though...

Tomorrow Spike goes on a Wellness Plan...I still hate the thought of putting him under for the cleaning but alas...... it's for the best...The gingivitis looks better today....Lady said Wellness is 40 up front and 35 per month....covers all routine exams...teeth cleaning included...what I paid yesterday will cover the 40 for 72 hours....We gonna get some clean teeth and up to date on vaccinations...
