It really is truly miraculous. I look forward to talking to ya'll everyday and pm'ing, etc. I can't express how deeply I feel about everyone. All of this awesome fellowship because I gave up tobacco. I mean, this was precisely the right time and place. God is never late.....always on time and always a Gentleman.

My dr. yesterday confirmed that my lung capacity is growing. That was great news! My bp was elevated.....great.....I quit smoking tobacco and that happens! Go figure. I'm already on bp meds, but we're going to keep an eye on it. Isn't that a hoot! Gained 8 lbs. in 2 months, which ticked me off! He said it was from quitting tobacco. I don't buy it. Sigh.

I know for a fact when my pain level is high my blood pressure goes through the roof, so it could simply have been a "bad pain day" increase. I had only been vaping less than 2 months and my oxygen saturation level went from 90% (Less than 93% in the hospital and they automatically put you on oxygen) to 95%. I only know this because it is taken every 4 weeks. My doctor was thrilled I quit analogs and with the info I printed out for her about the e-cig vs analogs she loved and is making copies to give to her other patients who smoke. Luckly I have not gained any weight from stopping smoking, that sort of surprised me since my activity level has dropped in the past 4 months from the other issue I explained to you. So all in all hang tough, you have done the right thing. I was concerned because the analogs helped my pain level and the other ways I tried to quit increased it, so I am so happy that the e-cig doesn't because I deal with enough of that already. I may be a vaper for life but it sure beats analogs!

I will tell you that the only time I can get almost pain free is in the pool. I used to go 3 times a week to swim and walk in the water, I would walk a mile and then swim a mile (before you gasp, the mile was one of my best events when I was competing) then I would just float on my back (which for me is a piece of cake given the hours of training in my lifetime). It was wonderful, the only hard part was getting out of the pool after about an hour or 90 min of no pressure on all my hardware and then having gravity set in. <UGH!>
Do you have any access to a heated swimming pool or a therapy pool at a physical therapy place? They often will let you use the pool for a small monthly fee...

When my folks were alive and living in their house of 40 something years, they had an inground pool, and I know exactly what you're talking about Kelly. Since they sold their house and are both deceased, I have no access to a pool. That would be nice to have, though!

Most YMCA's have indoor heated pools with exercise classes. My mom used to go to one of those classes, she loved it. Really helped her joints and back too!

LOL!!! Lisa, that is exactly what I logged on here to tell SC. Like I mentioned earlier also many Physical Therapy places now have very well heated pools, like the temp is in the low 90's, and if you ask your doctor to give you a referral you may be able to go under your health insurance. Or many of them offer a certain number of visits per month for a reasonable monthly fee and no contract like many health clubs.

Oh wow! I just got major chills after reading that. What a HUGE blessing!!!!!! I'm so happy for you, words can't express. For a christian parent, hearing that their child is saved is the most important thing. Praise God!!!!!

WOW! Praise God from whom all blessings flow!!! I am so very happy for you Angel!!!!!! I know how you feel. My son became a Christian when he was in his mid-teens at a Youth Retreat. I was and still am so very thankful! When I got saved, my next thought was of my son and how it's my responsibility to do everything I can to help him. Praying Momma's are one of the most humongus weapon that we have. I know you are soooo relieved, girl. Hallelujah, thine the glory, Hallelujah amen, Hallelujah thine the glory, revive us again! Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the earth hear his voice, praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the people rejoice.
