Don't ever buy the PLUME VEIL V2.5 Clone 1:1. Very LOW LOW LOW quality and CHEAP Delrin TopCaps used.

My build was 0.6 Ohms, Single Coil, 0.50mm wire, firing at 55watts. A normal straight up flavor build, and just when I was about to hit it, it straight up melted the Delrin part of the topcap.

i mean, that is not even a Cloudchasing build! Not even going below 0.4ohms!
So what if you're using a 0.2 dualcoil? You will vape the topcaps off!


Disappointed. Sheesh..

I was not going to buy Plume veil anyway, but you caught my attention. Whose clone not to buy? Of what company? What vendor? Somehow I believe there are pretty nice clones around, but some others, not the one you have bought.

Unfortunately, the seller that I bought it from doesn't know the particular clone manufacturer of this atty, but here is a pic of it in brand new condition with the box it comes in. And if I had to guess, that is not even a Peek insulator on the 510 pin.

delrin is delrin.... there isnt a difference to be able to call one delrin cheap over another.... unless, there is a chemical difference and therefore its not delrin anymore

It doesn't appear that you have an air slot directed at the coil.

When taking that pic I slapped it on there without even thinking of lining the airhole right infront of the coils. Wasn't going to use it anyway. Might as well not line the airhole right? lol!

I had a few clones before, that worked just fine, but this is wayyy below standards.

Mine is a TOBECO (I think?) clone. Same thing happened. If you screw the top airflow down until it makes direct contact with the coil it's gonna melt. Doesn't matter who makes it. You have to build your coils low in that atty if you want to use the top cap air flow opened up all the way. And about 2mm is your max inner diameter with 24G. It's a design flaw, not poor manufacturing. It's a flavor chaser, not a fog machine.

Thanks man, so you just screw the top airflow all the way up and make your coil as low as possible?

Air Flow across a properly set .6ogm coil build would prevent even Quality Plastic from melting.

Yes, hate to be the party pooper, but its happened on the authentics, too.

Very common issue with this atty. It can be prevented, but you need to be aware of it.

It would be nice is the authentic had some sort of stop piece placed on the center block to deal with the issue.

Lose the stock top cap and try a chuff cap instead. You won't have the melting issue, and it really wakes up both the flavor and vapor capabilities of the Plume Veil.
