Have you noticed that you're smoking more analogs waiting to get your ecig?

Interesting... in this sense. I never tried to quit smoking but I know I'd 'nic up' before a plane flight or a situation where I knew I wasn't going to be able to smoke. And for those not familiar with ecigs effects and yet those who actually want to quit but can't, I could see where they might start 'power smoking' before getting their first ecigarette, but this is one case where you don't really have to do that. You can even have a cigarette or two after starting with the ecig and it really doesn't matter - you won't 'automatically' go back to smoking if you have just one. If you do ecigs without cigs for a while and decide to have one, the people that have done that have usually just said that it didn't taste all that good. But there wasn't a big urge to go back to them - although some do. For the most part you get into finding better flavors, getting more vapor, etc. etc. lol.

I have been smoking like CRAZY lately waiting for my e-cigarette to come. I'm just astounded at myself, it's like I wanna get as much in as possible before I go completely ecig!

I think it's because I'm thinking too hard about smoking and quitting smoking and it makes me want nicotine.

Plus this is my weekend so I'm off work... I generally smoke more per day on my days off than I do when I work. But I feel like I'm smoking too much -- my throat hurts and I'm coughing a ton. So going over to vaping is probably going to feel even better with me killing my lungs with cigs waiting...

Try this. Stop thinking you're quitting. Think about it as switching. You're still getting the addictive part in the nicotine. (I had no withdrawals.) I simply switched cigarette types.

Kinda like going from marlboro to winston. Same thing, only different!

Bear in mind, it may take a bit to figure out the right mg/ml for you. If you feel the need for an analog, have one, Don't beat yourself up. This truly is unlike any other "quitting" method you've ever tried. When you figure out what works for you, you simply won't want another analog.

It's truly amazing.

Anyway, just my $.02. Give it a whirl.

I smoke a ton when I'm at home just watching TV or on the computer. But it only just started being even MORE than a ton once I ordered my ecig.

Thinking about switching "brands" I guess might help....but I'll have my ecig soon enough and I have a full pack of camel menthol lights here. I'm going to miss popping the flavor capsule in the filter though!

This reminds me of how I used to be whenever I thought about quitting regular cigs....just the thought of it would make me light one up !

I know what you mean. When I would say, "I'm quitting on Monday" I'd probably go through like 4 packs between saturday and sunday!

Then monday would come and I wouldn't smoke all day...until after work and I couldn't stop myself from buying another pack. There goes quitting.

Though I am proud to say that I'm not one of those smokers who smoke as soon as they get up. When I wake up, the thought of smoking repulses me....until I get in the car, then I light up and it's smoking all day.

/agree with JK - don't look on it as a quitting method - it isn't, not really. Its an ALTERNATIVE that MAY cause you to quit 'by accident'. :D
I had nointention of quitting now, oh look, I didnt smoke any cigs for a few days. This was NOT by design, it jsut happens I like the PV better.
No sense of failure if I smoke a cig (I might, just today and yesterday etc I haven't), no sense of superiority if I don't smoke one.
I started using my PV in the exact same places I used to smoke too - my subconcious doesn't care about logic just associations (though it be suspectible to flavors lol)

Tanisloray - you just wait until you add a drop or two of a flavor that you really dig to the "off the shelf" flavor that you've gotten used to and you say, "Wow!"

CaptJay - Absolutely! ... Now, what do I do with this great Zippo that is part of my very soul and being? ... lol

The neatest feature, for me, is being able to take a few puffs and putting it down. It doesn't sit there and burn up and stink ... I don't throw half of it away ... it doesn't taste like [censored] when I pick it back up ... I don't have to re-light it ... I push the button and it instantly tastes good ... and I don't feel, smell and taste like a dirty ashtray!

I'm waiting for my 510 to come in, and I've been craving cigs lately because I've been thinking about vaping. thankfully for my lungs I haven't had the opportunity to buy a pack, but I'll be damned if the cravings aren't killing me. I've gone through the main of nic. withdrawal already, just want one. Can't wait till my 510 comes in and I can switch to vaping.

I know that sort of 'nervous craving' very well. I would put a positive spin on it by thinking that it's actually a good sign being anxious to finally get my hands on the e-cig. It's a sign that you really want to get away from the cancer sticks.

What also helped me getting over the waiting time was the thought of how cool it'll be to 'light one up' wherever you go without being obliged to find a smoker's exile first. It takes a lot of stress away, apart from the direct health benefits of course.

After hearing about all of the successes here on the ECF forum, and all of the flavors that are available, I started dreading lighting up while waiting for my order. I kept thinking "I can't wait to get my e-cig kit so I can' stop smoking these damned analogs". Of course, my other thought was "I sure hope this works for me, and this e-cig thing is not just a bunch of hype". Well, it turned out not to be hype, I have not picked up an analog since I got my 510 kit a week ago. I've been tempted a few times (minor though), and I still like the smell of analogs (a little). But I do NOT like the smoke given off by analogs when I emanates around me. My girlfriend still smokes and I don't care for the way it smells after a few minutes. When I smell it, I start vaping so I am not tempted to smoke an analog. So far, no problems. I do recommend that anyone thinking about buying an e-cig should consider a Joye 510 dual kit, (2 stock batteries and 2 atomizers), 2 mega batteries, 30 ml of your choice of e-liquid (or a sampler pack of different flavors) a USB passthrough (It vapes better than batteries) and a couple of extra attys and blank carts with filler material. I got the extra stuff so I would not accidentally be stuck without a backup.

May I ask what supplier you ordered from? I currently own a m402, which is definitely doing its job (considering it's my very first PV), but I am considering purchasing a 510 just to compare!

Nearly all of my stuff came from perfectelectroniccigarette.com. They have their own forum and seem pretty legitimate and professional. I think they have white 510 starter kits in stock. They also have good e-liquids in lots of flavors. I got my USB passthrough from wordupecig.com. I would not be as happy with vaping if I did not have a USB passthrough, so that is essential. You'll want to shop around, since most online suppliers rarely have everything you need since they sell out of some items.

Be aware that USB passthroughs come in 2 types, ones with an in-line battery, and ones that do not have the in-line battery. I have the one without the battery. That was not by choice and I guess I made an ordering mistake, since the battery model is nearly the same price as the non-battery model. If you see a battery in the picture, it is likely a battery model. I didn't see a picture of the battery when I placed my order, but I assumed it was just not shown, wrong! The battery model makes it possible to use the passthrough when it is not connected to the USB port on your computer.

One last thing, I just bought Marineland blue aquarium foam from PetsMart for $8.00 (they may or may not stock it in your area, shop around) and I like it much more than Fluval (the white cart filler material) Just cut a tiny piece to fit your carts. Foam should last you a year or two.

Gave more info than what you asked for, but I hope it helps!

My kit should be here tomorrow (er, later today I guess).

And, yes, I've realized that for the past week I've been chain-smoking all evening reading these forums; makes me feel like a tool.

Don't step on my gig, man, I'm the tool around here! (I've posted several times asking questions that I found the answers to a few minutes later reading... )

Seriously, I think it's that we normally don't spend our week stalking the postman and tracking on USPS.com and thinking about smoking.... until the week we order our ecig. (I hope my postman doesn't think I have a crush on him, I believe he's married... :D)

This is my Sunday night, I start back my workweek tomorrow evening at 2000 CST, in the middle of an ice storm. I really, really hope my 510 arrives tomorrow so I can go to work with it in my mouth instead of trying to fumble to light a cig and possibly have a wreck reaching for a lighter.... at least I'll have my nicotine all in one thing and no need for lighters. (They always seem to fall in the crack between my passenger seat and the middle console.) Looking at USPS tracking it looks like it's en route to be here tomorrow, if not it will be here Friday. (I can't fault the person who sold it, they sent it Priority Mail as I requested, and they put it in the mail within 24 hours of my order....)

Plus all of my coworkers are very interested in my new toy and seeing how it works, and *I'm* interested in seeing if I can manage to stealth vape in the bathroom instead of stepping out into the snow...
