I'm thinking of buying a safe or a big metal lock box of some kind and was wondering how others manage open bottles with little ones in the house. I'm so freaked out about my kids getting into it that I won't do an open bottle steep until my kids go to their gmas for the night. I already have two small lock boxes that I store my liquid in but I'm afraid they will get knocked over. What do you do?

I have two very active cats (my four-legged kids) and I keep all of my liquids on the top shelf of my bedroom closet where they cannot get to. Though, since you have kids who are able to move a chair and climb up on it, that wouldn't probably work for you. Maybe keep them in the lock box but put the box in your basement or storage space/garage if it's temp monitored. It is easy to forget a tissue or cap I've used while filling a tank, even with strict vigilance on my part, I forget sometimes. Not sure if any of that helps, but that is what I do with my ejuice.

Personally, I just don't. I have a child and two dogs, three cats, and a rabbit. I could set those bottles on the roof and they'd find them lolol I do use a lock box but I keep the lids on.

That being said, you could find maybe a smaller cosmetics counter organizer, pill bottle organizer, something like that that could fit or be modified to fit in a lock box. Perhaps trim up some foam to keep the bottles stable in their compartments while the lid is off. Or if its feasible in your home, top shelves of pantries, cabinets, etc may be worth looking at. Just some thoughts :)

My kids are grown, but I have small nephews who visit once in a while.

I doubt they'd be a problem. Just the same, I'm always cautious. I keep all of my juice in a metal cabinet in my basement. And I lock the door with a cable lock you would use to hold open the action on a firearm. I do the same thing with my ammunition, so it just carried over.

My 4 legged kitten could climb any closet and shelve we have. That said - i think I have a cabinet that isn't opened often, that she's not yet grown curious about...

I love that you keep the ammo and the juice locked up together. You are a good good boy.

Also - is that a stiller i see crushing a bengal in your avi? I'm pretty sure I like you already :D

That's Hines Ward, yes. I always loved that pic.

I don't keep my ammo and my juice in the SAME cabinet. That's just crazy. ;) But they are side by side and locked in the same manner.
