So it is a three post with two wire openings at the top, and it does have an air flow art the top cap three holes in each row and three rows. No visible markings or logos but it does have what looks like a heat sink on the top by the unusually large mouthpiece.there are four Philips head screws and no visible markings on the underside,

Likely a mutation X, authentic or clone. Quick google should confirm?

And I do not have a volt meter, ohm meter, or a multi meter and it does say on the battery that it has a discharge rating of 35 amps and three is a sticker on it that is an authentication sticker with a serial number (sz12365).

Fun, it should also say efest, yes?

if you use the link with the
tags at the front and back (labeled bbcode), you will get an inline image.

Its hard to see from your blurry picture. I almost wanted to say a doge x or mutation v2 with chuff cap, but I can't clearly see the airflow orientation.

I think that was a compliment...In any case I'm gonna take it as one.
Robin is correct. (isn't she always?) Get an eleaf meter. You can find one for like $9. including shipping on the bay.
And always check your resistance, even on a regular tank. But especially with an RDA.
See what you done, now I gotta play the song again. Moondance next. Regards

Think this is where I usually step in.:)

Hello and welcome to the forum copperking. Glad to have you here!:)

If you are new to mech mods and rebuildables I highly recommend you spend some time with Baditude (one of our resident battery experts) and visit his blogs. You are now 100% in control of your own safety (and others around you). Make sure you purchase an ohm reader and a voltmeter or DMM so you can measure your builds, check for shorts and measure the remaining charge on your batteries.

Baditudes Blogs. The blogs regarding mods and rebuildables are listed below:

BATTERIES

9. Battery Basics for Mods: IMR or Protected ICR?
* Another essential read to understand which batteries are safe to use in mechanical and regulated mods. Includes a frequently updated list of recommended safe-chemistry, high-drain batteries with their specifications.

17. Purple Efest Batteries Not As Advertised
* A cautionary blog that reveals that the purple Efest batteries may not have the specifications advertised. Also includes a commentary on "continuous discharge ratings" vs "pulse discharge ratings" of battery specs.

OHM'S LAW

14. Ohm's Law for Dummies (Vapers)
* My attempt at explaining Ohm's Law in layman terms and how it relates to vaping.

16. Explain it to the Dumb Noob: Ohm's Law Calculations
* As simple as it is to use, some people have a tough time grasping the concept. Warning: Includes graphic photos of mod explosions.

MECHANICAL MODS & REBUILDABLES

7. Information Resources for Your First RBA
* An essential read and reference guide for someone new to rebuilding coils. Includes a multitude of useful links on battery safety, mod safety, coil meters, coil building, and the differences in the three types of RBA's.

15. Inexpensive Mechanical Mod and RDA Setup
* A response to the frequently asked question on how to get into rebuildable atomizers with a mechanical mod inexpensively. Includes a list of commonly used tools and supplies for rebuilding and where to find them.

BATTERIES - WHERE TO BUY

Only buy batteries from a reputable supplier (not ebay or Amazon) as there are many counterfeit batteries being sold. Here are several reputable battery suppliers in the US.

* RTD Vapor
* Illumination Supply
* Lighthound
* Orbtronics

Nuts? What nuts?
No Ma'm. We're not nuts. We're:
Men with insight, men in granite
Knights in armor bent on chivalry

you a silly bird.

Your post reminded me of a song from a Mel Brooks film:

We're men, we're men in tights, yes,
We rob from the rich and give to the poor, that's right....

Love Blazing Saddles the best, but Men in Tights is quite funny! Sorry....I've been up all night and kind of silly myself....:laugh:

Yes it does.

Yeah, you have a Mutation X V2 unless my sleep-deprived brain is missing something. I believe it should have triangle screws for the 4 posts... if yours actually has phillips screws, it's likely a clone, though there's an small chance they replaced them with phillips. A very small chance.

Regarding the battery: It isn't 35amp, it's actually around 20amps. I'd encourage you to search on it and confirm for your own peace of mind, as it'll come in handy when you follow everyone's very good advice on picking up a multimeter to measure the coil -- which I'm counting you to do for my peace of mind. :)

I've been up all night myself. I had my boy register a domain for me and he just added my new domain to his minecraft and graphix domains.
I had to fire up the mod, make some cafe, wake him up and talk to him about following instructions..while he transferred my new domain over to me.
My fault. That's what I get for delegating authority to a 12 year old.
It's almost 9 AM here...maybe I should crash.
After I listen to some more van Morrison and swig some honey...maybe :2cool:
