Hello everyone! Hope you are well.

As a complete noob to this strange world of vaping, I thought I'd just share where I'm at.

I gave up smoking on 1st Jan this year after 28 years of a 10-15 a day habit. For the first week I was on the gum. It sort of worked, then a friend who had also given up turned me on to an E-Lite. Sort of looks like a normal cigarette.

I bought a starter kit and was surprised at how realistic and satisfying it was, for about the first week. Then the 2 cartos that came with it ran out and the battery seemed to just get worse and worse, producing less and less vapour.

I re-ordered some new cartos, and they had run out of one of the (very limited) range of flavours, so they sent me an entirely new starter kit - Bonus number 1.

The trouble was, this took a full 5 days to arrive, so in the meantime I complained about this, as I'd also paid £3 for "next day" delivery. Then at the beginning of this week they sent me yet another starter kit and 2 spare cartos for free - Bonus number 2.

Not really. I have been using the E-Lite for about 3 weeks and it just didn't quite give me enough vapour. I also bought some e-liquid, as I wasn't about to keep spending £7 for two cartos that only lasted about 3 days, to refill the ones I already had. This seems to work, only I still wasn't happy, so 3 days ago I bought a Riva 1100 (510) deluxe starter kit and a selection pack of 5mil juices. It arrived today and my God! What a difference! I have been happily vaping all evening via the direct drip method and I have to say, THAT'S what vaping is all about! If only I'd done more research, I could have started with this and not buggered about with the E-Lites.

I'm going to pass the 3 E-Lite kits I now have (And 10 or so spare cartos) to other friends of mine who were interested in me vaping (having never come across it before) at a party I went to last week.

Well, sorry to bore you all, I can see that I'm going to enjoy being part of this forum. I just have to keep my mild gadget freakery (geekery) in check - It all looks so exciting. This brave new world of vapery!

Hi and Welcome! +1 on having the right attitude for being part of the ECF! Passing along the ecigs was a great gesture and posting your story too. People new to vaping will read your thread and be able to avoid making missteps with their first purchase.

Many of us (including me!) made rather dissapointing first purchases but it was what started us down the road to being analog free.

Welcome to the ECF and Congrats on putting down the cigarettes. Post any questions that come up as we all love to help.

Good luck with your new vaping journey .... never heard of a E-lite brand e-cig, but at any rate it could not have been of great quality if it was dying out after 3 weeks of use .... that's not acceptable, and sounds more like what we call here in North America a "disposable", which are made to be short on life.... it was pretty nice of the vendor to send you 2 more free kits, which further leads me to believe that this was a disposable kit.

In any event, glad you found something that makes you really appreciate the Vaping experience, and satisfies your cravings, because that is what it's all about! Keep vaping dear heart and enjoy! :D

Wonderful story. I never tire of hearing how someone starts on their journey to an analog free life. So happy that you now have reliable equipment. That was very good of you to pass your extras to others. just be sure to let them know just how much better vaping really can be with the right pv. Welcome to ECF. Hope to get to know you better.
