Its been a crazy week for me. I have not touched a tobacco product in almost a week. I still can't believe what this product has done for me. 16 years at the mercy of a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. At the same time life is hard as hell. I am in an economic .... storm at the moment, that has not my biggest speed bump in life for sure. It is difficult none the less. Yen and Yang I suppose, just ready for more yang! Anywho, thanks for the site, it has been a great refuge from tobacco and issues.
For those just starting out, or thinking about it, here is a short list of tough things I have experienced over the last week that would normally lead any quitter to the pack again:
1) Drinking, i have been drunk, sad and happy, and just buzzed but no need to grab the pack
2) Economic situations (as mentioned above)
3) Writing a good song on the guitar, it always makes you want to smoke
4) Listening to a good song, sad, happy, or otherwise
5) Upset, for a multitude of reasons
6) Boredom
7) Family issues, to each there own
8) A nice day?
9) A crappy day?
I suppose my point is just that it can be done, and without all the scheduling, withdraw, and bull.... that might come from just trying to quit through other means. The not smoking part has been the easiest part of the week, and the most rewarding. I also got my buddy who smoke 2+ packs a day for 20 years (started when he was 12) off with ecigs for 2 days and counting. So "vape it forward" or what ever that movie was.
