Ok, I am aware of Robs dislike of regulated mods. However, the DNA40 is a game changer in my opinion. Temperature control will allow us to substantially reduce potential health effects of vaping. In almost all of the studies where they find vaping potentially dangerous, they invariable overheat the liquid. To that point, at least one of the beta testers indicated they were able to completely eliminate dry (burnt) hits by keeping the temp below the burning point of their wick.
So I guess my main point is this. Since Rob does not want to "deal" with regulated mods. How much interest would their be in requesting Rob design up and make a DIY version of the REO for the Evolv board? If there is enough interest to get Rob excited, would people be willing to put down a deposit to get the master to build a limited run of these DIY units, in a similar fashion as the woodvil?
Basically, lets try to convince Rob that it would be worth his while to design an Evolv REO Bottom Feed DIY edition, and leave the soldering, and electronics installation work to all of us that really want these devices. Limited release(s) would help assure Rob of limited headaches. To alleviate additional headaches, he could make first run an REO owner exclusive with an exclusive paint job.
Any thoughts?
Personally, I would pony up, even if the mod cost was higher than the current price of a finished REO Lp.
