I've been using an e cig for a little over two years now and I've had the Halo Triton since they first became available. I've owned several of the cheap and some not so cheap ego style batteries from various vendors and the Halo Triton is way above all the rest in quality. Some people will reccommend that you can find a cheaper ego style battery some where other than Halo. Please keep in mind YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Another important point that may have already been discussed is that the Triton isn't just another ego. Its has 808 threads rather than the usual 510 models. The Triton tanks also seem to be better than the normal 510 ego tanks. Less leaking and better connection to the battery. You can waste your time buying cheaper model ego kits but you'll come out cheaper in the end if you go ahead and purchase something of quality like the triton.
Just my 2 cents for what its worth but I do speak from my own personal experiences.

So what's the advantage of having a 808 over 510? Isn't Halo Triton just another rebranded Ego but with 808? Made in China or US? Is it regulated at 3.4V or 3.7V? Sorry for so many question, I'm just curious what makes this device stands out when compared to other branded Egos.

I'm unsure of 808 advantage, I do know there's a few converters that work nicely w it so you can use other than halo products. Its actually 4.2 v on a full charge and about 3.8 on a low.

I've recently tried a Halo Triton batteries and clearomizers setup, and I'm liking it pretty good so far. I have to use high (all) VG juices, which is why I had to make the switch from ECHO gear, which is otherwise a very good fat automatic battery setup. That is, except for the limited availability of any ECHO cartomizers or clearomizers that work well with high VG juices.

I would still prefer an automatic Triton battery, and maybe Halo will come out with some one day. I hope they do. In the meantime, for people like me who have to use VG juices, the Halo Triton battery and clearomizer combo is a good, generally dependable piece of equipment. No leaks, and so far (after 3 days), no burnt wicks or gunked up coil (unlike with an ECHO clearomizer or cartomizer). Atomizer coil/wick replacement units are very affordably priced from Halo, and Kanger T2 replacements apparently also work as well, when available.

I'll soon be trying out SI's Volt X2 - Mini T3 clearomizers on my short and fat Triton batteries. Just to try them out, as they are fully compatible clearomizers as far as threading, etc. So you are not just limited to using only Halo cartomizers or clearomizers on a Triton battery. You have some options, and they are pretty darn good ones, including 808 threaded cartomizers and mini-clearomizers, as well as other VGO (EGO outside thread, 808 inside thread) cartomizers and clearomizers. That's still not anywhere near as many options as you'd have with 510 and EGO threaded equipment, but I just don't think those batteries are all that much to write home about in my (admittedly) limited experience.
