It's not that different to any other device. Make sure you're in TC mode and start at around 400F and work your way up to where you want it. Airflow can be a bit finicky to get right, but once you get it right for you you'll probably not need to touch it again. The good news is that nickel coils last me twice as long as kanthal so there's a big saving there potentially.

my istick 40w kit is due tomorrow, I was wondering what you think of it, if anyone uses it, and could give me tips on how it works,

I have both of these. An iStick 40WTC and a GS-Tank. They are Both Great Items.

I like using the Non-TC 1.5 Ohm Heads better than the Nickel Coils. But that is just me.

Yes the battery doesn't last as long in TC mode as my old standard 20W does. I seem to use a lot less juice though strangely enough - there must be some efficiencies in TC that I wasn't expecting.

Yes, I'm hoping TC gets easy and common enough for beginners vapes. It'd be nice to start someone on vaping something that will use less juice, and the coils and wicks last longer.
Vaping can be less expensive than smoking but sometimes it sure is a money pit.
