Thoughts on the Kayfun Lite or other RBA's?

From my lurking and research you've essentially got three options, depending on your style of wick:

Genesis: Smoktech RSST (best bang-for-your-buck)
Mesh: Taifun GT
Silica: kayfun x.x/kayfun Lite

I haven't listed the Ithaka as you need a NR-R (no resistance to resistance) join in your wires which is a PITA. It's a nice vape though.

These are the originals...I know that people have differing opinions on clones, but if you don't mind there's the following to try:

Genesis: RSST (Semi-clone of the AC9)
Mesh: Fogger V2 (75% clone of the Taifun, few differences)
Silica: Russian/Russian 91%/iSmoka Magoo (KF/KFL/Ithaka clones)

There is also a 1:1 clone of the kayfun Lite (the Russian 91% brings a few more things to the table) being released by Ehpro but I've left that out as it's an unknown for now.

If your preference is cotton, I am led to believe all of these devices (save for the Ithaka) work extremely well with it as well.

I think the kayfun lite is great, but I think the Russian 91% is better. just wish they were more readily available. but they will be soon enough for anyone who wants one... actually think the Chinese have upped their game on this one- the adjustable air flow is a vast improvement. quality as good as the kayfun and a little less $.....

Assuming the mod you use has "adjustable airflow", is there any advantage to using the Russian 91% (other than, of course, using it on a mod without that feature)??? Sorry for the n00b question, but are the systems redundant, or do you gain/lose something for having this feature on both mod & atomizer?

the airflow is on the side of the russian 91 so an airflow controller will have no effect. nor will screwing it down flush except for the airflow about the only thing going for the russian is its a cheaper kayfun. I have the real light and I think the draw is pretty close to just right anyways.

Thanks Thrasher. Now, is it only carto tanks that have a bottom draw or do other rba's have this "feature" too? From what I think your saying, I'm better of grabbing a Russian/German made atty as opposed to a Chinese knock-off, and save the adjustable airflow for an Ithaka? Correct?

I've been running the Russian rba, and simply love it. The workmanship is fantastic, and the vape! Damn!! that's a good vape. Love the air hole and adjustment screw. No more drips of juice on center post of battery. The build is easy and have not had to fiddle with it at all. Am experimenting with Hybrid coil builds and the results are fantastic, and very promising, can only improve as I get better at building.

The engineering on this rba is rocket science. Just amazed at the equal pressure system it uses. Wicks the juice like crazy. No dry hits till that last nasty one when she's dry. But there is a settle warning vape that you can taste right before she's dry. Highly recommended.
