Yep, I hear ya. A lot of folks struggle deciding with the size. In the end, the only real e-cig devices that let you vape without looking like a clown are the cig look alikes. Everything else is for home use only, or inside your car. So in that case I'd choose the bigger one because its battery last longer.

Anyways, this is what I saw just a day ago when I was looking for differences between the two. My concern is battery life. This a very comprehensive review of both by PBusardo.

basically what thewayisshut said, the only difference is battery life, going from a 18650 to a smaller battery is the only difference, for example my provari can take 18490 batteries, and a 18650 battery with extend cap, its battery life that changes not the unit itself. Same as they are making a mini version same technology but smaller batteries. Which is the same in your case for the mini lavatube, same technology smaller batteries

I haven't even really looked at these; they have replaceable batts, no? with replaceable batts, the smaller size is not an issue at all...actually beneficial if you're out in public. Carrying an extra battery is no biggie. I use my GG Stealth all the time, and when I'm away from home I just take an extra battery with me

I have both and prefer the regular size over the mini. The large one feels better in my hand (that's what she said) and the fire button placement is in a more comfortable position. The LCD screen on my mini starts to fade as the battery dies, but this doesn't happen with my full size one. Could just be a flaw with the mini I own...not sure. Ofcourse, the battery life is much better on the large model.

I won an LT Mini kit recently so I've been vaping on it for almost a week now. I wish I could have gotten the full size one for battery life alone. I can of course get more batteries, which I will, but I prefer my batts to last longer than the 18350 does. It's a nice device though, pretty solid. Smaller than I expected. I've dropped it a couple times with no ill effect (though I do not recommend this of course). All in all my vote would be for full size for battery life alone.

I was going to post this ... the button placement. It sucks. It doesn't sit right. Way to low for the size of the tube. Get the full size

I have both and mainly use the Mini when I go out socializing (bit more discreet) The controls and buttons on both are in exactly the same position on both !! I always carry a spare battery with the Mini but to date I have not had to swap over whilst out and about normally 5 hours ;o)
They both work absolutely identically :vapor:

The fading thing, I suspect is the result of crap batteries. I think the 18350s that come with it are generic and terrible. (Although they do work okay stacked in my SB, but I charge those twice a day because I don't trust them.) I'm going to get some proper AWs and try those to see if they make any difference.

I haven't Seen on mine, I use both AW IMR and IC Batteries, or Read anything about Screen Fading.

Might be a Bad Unit. How low do your Batteries need to be and at what volts are you out putting?

Mine started doing the screen fade thing (struggling to provide current) when the battery dropped to around 3.5-3.6V. At that point it didn't really matter what voltage you tried to set, it still did it. This was with the batteries it shipped with.

3.6 volts is threshold that I change Batteries. I don't like to run them down much lower.

I'll do a test tonight and see what happens.

Considering these batteries come off the charger at 4.0V though, that's a pretty pathetic amount of vape time. I usually charge them around that point too but they should by no means be fading that badly at 3.6V. 3.2, 3.3, sure.

Got my Lavatube from Canvape today!!!! Love this thing!
I ended up getting the mini, I just couldn't resist it when I held both of them in my hand. It's actually the perfect size and I'm not too worried about the batt life. I have my tank on it and I'm experimenting with all the different voltages at the moment but I highly recommend it. Great customer service from Canvape too, I think I'll be giving them most of my business. Thanks all.
