Ok, so I just ordered my first APV, It's on it's way. I ordered the Vamo Variable Volt/Watt APV version 2 from High desert Vapes based on all of the excellent reviews from ECF on both the Vamo and the supplier.

Here is my question. I want to be able to use my kanger T2 Ego clearos that I use on my Ego style batteries. I have read on ECF that the T2 will fit directly onto my Vamo, then I came across a Vamo review that contradicts that information. I won't put a link to the review because I'm not sure if it's allowed here, but the reviewer states;

Threading
The VAMO is a straight up 510-threaded device. Any 510 threaded cartomizer, tank, clearomizer, whatever will work right out of the box. You can always pick up a 510-eGo adapter if you want to use a Kanger T3 or MT3. :unsure:

I have used both the T2's, and the T3's and both have the same threading (threading on the clearo is female)

Question: Will my T2's work with my new Vamo?

Thanks

P.S. I love this site.

Nice choice, a Vamo.;)
The problem between the Kanger T3 and Vamo is the T3's base or skirt which is fractionally longer than other clearo's. So when you twist it in, it doesn't go in all the way thus no connection is made.

Issues have been noted with Kanger T3 threads too, not all will thread into 510 adapters. Some members have requested the Vendor checks both the adapter and T3 for compatibility before dispatch. It's still not clear why this is, it doesn't occur with all 510 to ego adapters or T3's but worth asking the vendor to check before you make a purchase.

Although the only difference between the T2 and T3 is supposed to be bottom or top coil, they do differ slightly in appearance. I suspect the skirt is probably the same length. I don't have any T2's to compare against.
Some have sanded their T3's down a bit but that's rather a lot of work considering an adapter will do just as well.

Guys, you really want to use an EGO-510 connector ANYWAY. In fact, I'd never go without one. Here are a few reasons why.
Those clearo tanks we like to use? I've found that they like to come apart, leaving the coil base inside the VAMO, and a serious flood going on above.
You'll' at least have enough tank base to grab and unscrew if you have the height from the adapter.
Another reason is, with the adapter I have, it is hollow, so if there is a small leak, this catches the majority of it before it gets to the VAMO.

Enjoy that VAMO ;)

I ordered one yesterday for those reasons and to protect the Vamos threads just in case

The VAMO has ego and 510 threading, but the T2 will not fit, I use an 510 to ego adapter for my T2 with the VAMO. Adapters are cheap and easy to come by. Like some others have stated, it not really a bad idea to use an adapter anyway, my cat knocked my VAMO off my desk, it had a carto attached with no adapter at the time, unfortunately the carto broke. I had to use a small slotted screwdriver to get the base of the carto out of the VAMO, fortunately the VAMO suffered no damage.
