Been using ego batts and dct tanks for 2 years--now two of the batts are not accepting the tank properly---not tightening down enough t allow the tank to even stand up straight. It will not allow the tanks to even make enough connection to fire.. My question is --can these batts be fixed or do they need to be trashed?? Not a big problem just do not want to throw away if I can fix. My apologies if this has been ask before and answered but could not find it. Thanks--

Threads stripped? Honestly on an eGo battery I'd just say toss it. Two years and they're probably getting close to their usable life anyhow. You can try aluminum foil wrapped on the threads. If you're talking about the tanks I think you're talking about those are on the internal 510 threads. You can get some tanks that use the outer "ego" threads to attach, though they aren't great IMO.

Also, try another tank if you can. It's possible the tank's threads are stripped, not the ego.

It may be coming close to time to "upgrade" to a mod, some great fairly small ones if you're into that sort of thing, beautiful regulated ones (even some that are inexpensive, VAMO for example), which may allow you to enhance your vape. No disrespect to the ego batteries of course. Ego batteries work great for some people, and more power to em.. Not my cup'o'tea.

If the outer ego threading is still in good shape you could use one of these to bring it back to life.

That is a good way, or you could get an ego threaded topper like an Evod to continue to use the batteries too. The good news is that those batteries are pretty inexpensive whichever way you go!
