Just got a new lil chuck and am having a tough time getting the endcap twisted on/off. Is it safe to put some petrolium jelly on the threads?
Other than that problem am loving this thing. Was afraid that it wouldn't be much different than my ego but it blows it out of the water, esp. using an LR atty.

What I would recommend is Noalox for the battery cap threads.

Can find it at pretty much any hardware store, I'm not certain of petroleum jelly tbh or whether it could gunk things up or not.

Petroleum jelly would be fine. the composition of copper & brass does not lend itselt to electrolysis as aluminum does. So anything that performs as a friction modifier will work. Secondly the threads will break in and smooth out with a little time.
