Three days in - Zmaz V5

I would have posted this in another section but need more posts to do so, sorry!

As my intro post stated, my first venture into the vape world. Got the Zmax V5 kit from eliquid-USA, an almost local to me distributer. The kit included a sigelei branded 18650 2200mah and a 18350 900mah battery, two end caps, the single charger, usb end cap and a CE4 clearo. I also added a couple of Aspire ET S BDC's along withe some extra replacement coils. The price was right at eighty bucks.

So far, I am pleased but do have a question. The packaging looks different, my box is white and in most pictures, the box is Black. The button on mine, maybe plastic but chrome looking, is not the clear that I see on others. Everything else appeares the same. I also note that the screen menu is the same but it appears that the wording may be different compared to the video by PBusardo. Now, no scrolling words to wait for. I also note that some Zmax have the Sigelei etched near the button, mine does not. All minor differences, this thing smokes great once the proper power is dialed in.

So, on to the question. Do I just have the updated version, or some kind of (better or up-dated) clone?

I'm curious about this too. I keep looking at this Zmax V5 and need to find more info.

I am a happy vapor! As best as I can tell from looking at other sites, my Zmax is the latest greatest version of the Sigelei Zmax V5. I know, from the price, I could not have done better.

I have only seen one version of the Sigelei Zmax V5. All have removable top caps and firmware version SI V2.0a.

Vendors can order these in different trim. Most have laser etched logos in one place or another. Many purchased recently have metal buttons. Vendors can pick the standard brushed stainless steel finish (my favorite) or colors including heat-treated brushed SS "rainbow." Vendors also pick between authentic plain Jane Sigelei boxes in white or fancier and more expensive authentic black presentation boxes. Very often you will find that vendor websites do not have recent product photos on display. For instance, this photo is the V5 I purchased from Desert Vapes last month. The website shows a tinted plastic button and no laser etched logos. What I got was this... metal button and laser-etched logos.
