Hello everyone. Looking for some help. I have been vaping now for about 4 weeks +. Most of my juices are 50/50 only 2 or three that are 70/30 vg/pg. 12 and 6 in nic. Recently for the last five days i have been getting this uncomfortable feeling in my throat. Sort of feels like if i got punched in my throat. The feeling stays there until i eat or drink . But as soon as i take some vapes, it comes back. Been drinking water and that hasnt helped. I dont have a cold or sore throat. I was wondering if its pg allergy? But shouldnt this have happened as soon as I started vaping at first not after 4 weeks of vaping. I currently have a kangertech emow tank, with a variable voltage. Keeping my voltage at 3.8 or less depending on the juice. I know I cant try 100 vg because my set up cannot handle that. Not looking to spend money on a mod and all other equipment just to vape 100 vg. Remind you i put a new coil just in case. I was vaping just fine the last few weeks. Please help any advice or guidance is appreciated.

When you vape the 70/30, do you have the same reaction? There are some that have the reaction to PG. If you are having the same reaction you might try 80/20. Or you might also look at the type of juice you are going after. Modify one thing at a time until you identify what is the cause. Also look at your nic strength as well.

Every one is different with different needs. I can't use clearos. I developed a cough with every one I tried. There are other people that have the same reaction with cartos. Some people can't tolerate a warm vape, others can. Some need more VG, or can't use citrus flavors. The list just goes on and on.
The only thing anyone can do is try different things. What works for me may be totally wrong for you.

I'm kind of in the same boat as you with the throat issues and what worked for me was just adjusting the way I was hitting the vape. I tend to draw in the vapor slower into my mouth first then to my lungs and that helped a lot. Also switching up the kind of juice you use helps too like everyone said. I think we're both in a position of trying to figure out what juice works best for us while being the most enjoyable to vape.

All great suggestions. I love this forum. Everyone is so helpful. Thanks everyone. Im going to try this out. But am i correct? My set up of hardware wont handle high vg juices?

I'm not sure what set-up you have but all my Kanger & Aspire tanks work just fine with 100% VG juice

! of the reasons 100 % VG Juice might help is It has to thinned some about 10% usually with Distilled Water. The water helps the dry throat This is unless you are Dripping then you could even use Straight VG + VG Nic base + flavoring

Yeah I get a sore throat sometimes when I switch to different liquids. Especially this one that I just picked up the other day. This banana flavor is supposed to be 80VG/20PG and 6mg but the TH is freakin crazy. Too much throat hit for my RDA. So I have a sore throat right now from using that juice. Try different flavors, VG/PG mixes, and nic levels and see if anything changes.
